Venues Tips

When you searching for a venue, ask what's included and what's extra. We don't have any hidden charges but you would be surprised what other venues charge extra for.

The whole experience can be as stressful or simple as you choose. Try to relax

Sit down with your other half and discuss your ideal wedding to make sure you're on the same page!

Dont choose your wedding colour until you have chosen your bridesmaid dresses, Venue dressing is easier to match.

Ask your venue for their recommended suppliers. It can be overwhelming trying to find suppliers for every aspect of your special day, but your venue should be able to give you a great starting point.

Your venue choice is the first stepping stone in the creation of your wedding day - A venue with personality and character can enhance your day.

Don't forget to enjoy your day!

Relax - planning your wedding is a wonderful thing, be sure to enjoy it

Eat! Take the time to eat on your Wedding day, so many couples are too busy running around that they forget to actually sit back and enjoy the meal.

Don't rule out a venue until you've seen it in the flesh. Nothing beats a viewing in real life, not just to see the venue but to 'feel' it and meet those who'll be part of your planning

Brides always ask us what is the best time for their Ceremony- we always suggest 1pm

Choosing a venue which can offer civil ceremony options can be a great way to save time and money or your wedding day

Booking Your Venue Should be one of the first things you do. A good venue will allow you Time to Pay whilst arranging Registrar or a Church Service.

Choose the location for your ceremony and reception first, the rest of the planning comes much easier once those decisions have been made.

Most venues will be flexible, if you don't ask you don't get.

Include other members of the bridal party when looking at your venue to get their input.

Visit the venue as many times as you need, bring in family members and bridal party to ensure you are making the right decision.

Draw up a budget, make sure you have a allowance for unforeseen expenses and don't forgot insurance.

Make sure from the outset that you have a good rapport with the staff from your venue. You may fall out of love with the venue if it's difficult to deal with the people.
