Photographers Tips

Live music - we find this makes the biggest difference to your evening reception. A great band will get everyone on - and staying on - the dance floor!

Asks your guests to put their mobile phones away during the ceremony, otherwise you risk ending up with images of you two walking down the aisle with iPhones popping all over from the sides

Book. Book your preferred suppliers as early as you can. Make sure you get your essential suppliers such as Hair and Make Up Artist, Photographer, Catering, etc, in advance to avoid disappointment.

Save your bouquet flowers and have them pressed after your wedding, you can put them in a photo frame to remind you of that special day with your friends & family.

In one of my most recent weddings, my couple requested a photo book with a twist. They changed the titles of each page from the standard timeline and it made their book that extra bit more special.

Work with me and relax on the day ill make you some beautiful memories

Take a time out - The day can go fast if you don't have any down time, I dont really pose couples so I like to take some natural shots whilst we take a time out and they can use that to chill :)

Plan and make time for photos - Schedule an allocated time in the day, of roughly 1hr ,usually between the ceremony and breakfast to take formal photos with your loved ones and go for a photoshoot.

Always have a face to face consultation with your photographer. We will always go the extra mile (literally) to meet you face to face. That way, we get to know you and your wedding better!

Be yourselves and have FUN.

Right from the start, think about your budget and the Wedding Design, Colours may change depending on the Seasons.

Take the pressure off! You may worry about the little (or big) things going wrong, but on the day all you'll care about is having your new spouse and all your friends and family celebrating with you!

Plan your timings during the morning so getting into the dress is not stressful and rushed.

Create a detailed timeline of the day and try to allocate enough time for each section of the day: hair, makeup, first look, bridal party, couple's portraits, group shots, etc

Ensure you have enough time between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast for your photos. This will keep the stress levels down and you will get genuinely better images.

Don't delay booking your photographer, we book up super early with some people enquiring 3 years in advance! When choosing your photographer, find someone you love and ultimately get along with!

Meet your photographer before the big day. Either in person or via video call. It's important that you feel like you can trust them and you are all on the same page.

Rapport, Rapport, Rapport, it doesn't matter how much you like a photographer's work, if you don't feel an instant rapport with the photographer, look elsewhere.

Never skimp on wedding photographers, they are capturing memories to cherish!

Invest time with your photographer before the day. Although you don't realise it, you are investing in the authenticity of your wedding day shoot.
