Photographers Tips

Assign the bridal party roles on the day such as supplier contact, MC, group shots helper, etc. so that you can relax and enjoy the day.

Ask about a private photoshoot on the day! In our eyes, it's a must - it gives you both a break from the hustle and bustle as well as some loving photos that you can look back on fondly.

You don't need the photographer to have shot at your venue before. If they're good they can assess a space in seconds. So don't worry about that as part of your criteria.

Consider having an engagement shoot to get comfortable in front of the camera

Plan to have some time alone on your wedding day, even if it's just 15 minutes with a glass of fizz to take it all in!

It takes longer than you think to put on a wedding dress, always do this at least an hour before you need to be ready, you'll be shocked at how quickly this hour will go!

It takes a team to make a wedding, and the best teams are a collection of very different people helping each other with a common purpose.

Accept the quirks of what you find... perfection is in the natural uniqueness of every situation.

Buy or make table and venue decorations that you can use in your home afterwards, they'll bring lasting memories.

If you think it's expensive to hire a professional, think of the price you could pay by hiring an amateur.

An engagement shoot is a great way to discover your photographic style, its normally free if you book your wedding and can be great for those save the date cards!

I recommend contacting a selection of local photographers, checking out their portfolios and speaking with them before deciding. Some will gel more than others with your personality and your style.

Take some time on your wedding day for just the two of you.

Do what you want for your wedding. You dont have to follow traditions if you don’t want to

Remember to enjoy yourself and have fun with your friends and family! This will reflect in your photographs ????

Get Organised - plan your day well in advance!

Choose a good photographer (ha ha) - as after the big day is over - your images will be all that's left to remind you of what a great day it was!

Share your ideas and preferences with your photographer, and discuss any specific shots or moments that you would like to have captured.

Limit your group shots to single digits. It might be tempting to list all the photos you could possibly want but try all the photos you NEED and the group photos won't cut into your day.
