Entertainment Tips

Start your search and booking process EARLY. The best bands can easily be booked up 18 months in advance. so start when you know your date, then you will have the best choice!

Make sure to book your wedding music early to avoid disappointment. Key dates fill up quickly, sometimes up to 2 years in advance!

If you are planning to have a Father Daughter dance during your wedding reception, do it before the first dance. This way your father can hand you over to the groom ready for your first dance.

Ask for advice from your entertainment provider as they will be able to help guide on everything from timings, song choices and how to ensure you get the best sound & lighting at your chosen venue

Don't stress too much! We know it's hard planning a wedding but you are only going to do this once so enjoy the process and don't worry if things aren't going exactly as you hoped!

Pick entertainment that reflects your personality and yet takes into consideration what your guests will enjoy. A good balance will ensure a fantastic party.

Remember that YOUR WEDDING should be a UNIQUE EVENT for you ! Book a fully experienced Wedding DJ who will play your lists, take requests, supply a sensational light show and take the pressure off you

Entertainment can make or break a wedding. Always book full time professionals that are focused and experienced in the intricacy's and difficulties of wedding day performances and will put you first.

Try to send in a playlist so we have a clear picture of your music tastes and know your first dance in advance. We then prepare beforehand and arrive ready to play all of your favourite tunes.

Make sure you don't forget about the entertainment. It's the entertainment that people will remember long after other things have been forgotten

When choosing a band, try to check out their references and speak to other Brides and Grooms who have booked them. You need to be sure that what you are seeing on their website is authentic.

Trust the DJ - we do this every week, sometimes 5 events per week - we offer good advice gained over years of experience & if you ask us to stick to a rigid playlist we will but also we read the crowd

I'm sure that lots of people have told you that your day goes quickly and that is true. Take some time as a couple to really savour the moment. Everyone is there for you! Enjoy it!

Always make sure you hear the musicians before you engage their services. You can listen to Tennyson Collective on their website.

Only book a band or use a music agency who use PROFESSIONAL contracts - that way you are protected and you have peace of mind

Make something really special of your first dance - this does not have to be a dance routine, but could simply be how we host it for you - perhaps using Dry Ice (dance on a cloud effect) and Confetti

When contacting a wedding DJ for the first time rather than asking "How much?" straight away ask something personal like "What music are you into?" That way you can find the perfect DJ for your party.

Make a list of songs you want and don't want. Listen to tracks before adding them. Ask friends and family for 1 song they would dance to on your Special Night. Give list to DJ at least 2 weeks prior.

Make sure that any suppliers you consider have testimonials. Also ask for video testimonials not just written ones as these are generally a better reflection of the suppliers quality

Don't just smile and pout, go crazy in the photo booth! Your photos will be memories that will last a lifetime. You may as well give you and your guests something to laugh about!
