Shannon and her fiancé, Michael, are tying the knot on Friday 16th October 2027. The couple live in Bromsgrove with their two children. Shannon is a full-time carer for their disabled son, while Michael is a woodworker currently setting up his own woodworking business - a busy household with big dreams and plenty of heart.

Their love story began years ago, when they first dated in high school before life took them in different directions. Years later, they reconnected, messaged, went on their first real date as adults… and the rest, as Shannon says, is history.

Michael proposed in Spain - with Shannon’s best friend and their children involved - right in front of an enclosure of Shannon’s favourite bats. A complete surprise and a moment she’ll never forget.

Wedding planning is going smoothly so far. They’ve secured their venue, DJ and photobooth, and they’re loving each other’s ideas. Shannon hasn’t chosen her dress yet, but she’s enjoying the process and taking everything in her stride.

Winning this month’s prize came as a huge delight.
