Cheese wedding cakes, can you have any cheeses you want or are the specific/more common ones that they tend to come with?
It's totally do-able. No idea where you'd go. Maybe try a market, local farm or a company that specialise in cheese :-)
If you want a cheese like Brie, make sure its the top layer as the other will squash it 🤣 have the other layers as hard cheese like cheddar, red leicester, stilton...that sort of thing ️ x
Marks and spencers do these cakes and also pork pie ones too x
If you go to Costco they have set packages. I have heard Morrisons are good as you can choose which ones you want and are reasonably priced... im looking in to this myself!

I went to a wedding with a cake of cheese. It was stunning. It was New Year's Eve and the cheese was cut up for the guests on the evening. However, due to the smell, the hotel decided to take all the cheese away and most of the guests never got to eat any assuming it had all gone!
If it's in a warm room, you may have issues.
We had one! Basically you just have to have the harder cheeses at the bottom and softer cheeses at the top. Also our caterers told us which ones tended to be more popular so tried to make those the bigger ones

We are getting our cheese wedding cake from the cheese shed
We are having a cheese wedding cake too. I recommend shopping around for quotes though, I found anyone selling a 'wedding cheese cake' was much more expensive than just buying rounds of cheese from somewhere like Morrisons or a cheese shop and stacking them up. Removing the word 'wedding' when asking for quotes somehow makes things cheaper
We were planning on getting ours from M&S as have great reviews but I may speak to Morrisons to hear their suggestions and prices
We got ours from Costco and it was fantastic! 7 tiers of tasty cheese and it was about £125. They delivered 2 days before and rang us when they were on their way. Couldn't fault it at all!
I literally picked up a "food to order" book from Morrison's yesterday .... £50 serves 40, good luck! X
