I cant seem to find any wedding heels that I like, I would love sparkly diamonte covered platform heels, but nothing with a solid "back" as it pushes my little feet forwards, more of a strappy platform sandal if anyone knows where I could get my imaginary princess shoe or has seen anything similar? Not sure I trust ebay either as want to try the shoe on...TIA xx

I am sympathetic. I have been on both sides. I remember being asked to pay for my own bridesmaids dress. My sister chose the dress and I was okay with the style, £110 in 1989 but there was no way I was going to wear peach....in the end my sister agreed that I could wear the cream version - a compromise. Yes, if they were guests they would purchase their own dresses. Those dresses would be in a style and colour of their choosing. I buy dresses knowing I will get 'three wears' out of it at different events with different people in attendence over a period of time. I guess being a bridesmaid is 'an honour' - you want to feel special hence you don't really want to pay for your own dress. They may be as cash strapped as you. There are expenses that are necessary for your wedding where you do not have a choice but to pay for i.e. Venue, food etc. It's your day people should not really be out of pocket but it's 2017. You must know them really well, talk to them and see if you can come to a solution that works for everyone.

Really easy to glue on the rhinestones. I make ice skating dresses and basically if you can use a pencil and a pretty stick you can do it. Go on ebay and buy a 15ml bottle of GemTac glue (comes with brilliant nozzle). Buy a wax picker pencil and save a plastic lid off something (top of cotton bud container type). But some rhinestones - you need flatback 3 or 4 mm size (can easily called ss16 or ss20). Instructions below

I've bought these from quiz, I feel most comfortable in block heels and platforms and figured no one will see them anyway.

These are what I wore for my wedding day. They were super comfortable! Kurt Geiger. They have lovely padded soles. I wore them all the way up until just before the last song! And I found them very easy to walk in, as the straps supported my feet well. With all shoes - I'd suggest wearing them in with thick socks on before your wedding day. It helped a lot as it softened them! Xx

P.S - Carvela do quite a few in these type of styles.
