Looking for ideas on to what to include on the day invites and evening...

Looking for ideas on to what to include on the day invites and evening invites. We are having the ceremony at the same place as reception. Having an afternoon tea so will popping dietary needs on it. But we are asking for money if people want to gift anything and not sure on how to word it. Also should we include a map to the invitation and an order of the day? Or do you just have the order of the day at the venue on the day? We will be popping in a rsvp with song choice on it. But am i missing anything? X

There are plenty of poems on Google that ask for money as wedding gifts

We put an information sheet in the envelopes with our invites which covered maps, gifts, etc

I was going to use a free wedding website for most of the details like maps and things and just give basic info with the web address on the invites. If you use the gettingmarried.co.uk one then your guests can rsvp on your website

I didnt ask for money in my invites seemed like begging you have to give. Left people to ask what we would like in person

We kept our invites pretty minimal with just the date, time and address because we've found that when we receive bulky invites they just get lost because they're too heavy to stick on the fridge. We have then used a site called theknot.com to make a wedding website with further details like menu choices, transport and accomadation on and you can RSVP online too! We've just put instructions on how to access our site at the bottom of the invite x

If you want to add a note about gifts, a short poem is nice, usually in the day invites and not the evening. Lots on Google/Pinterest. Don't forget to put a return envelope with your RSVP with your address on it and the names of your guests or you won't know who has replied. I wouldn't put a map just address of venue as people can usually find via a phone or sat-nav!
