So me and my mum are making our wedding invitations and have just finished...

So me and my mum are making our wedding invitations and have just finished the day ones only to realise we have ran out of the glitter card we've used on the day ones, and now the site I bought it from no longer sells it. Do you think it will matter if I use a slightly different kind/colour on the evening ones? I like everything to match and it's really annoying me that that's not going to be!

I don't think it'll matter as people that are receiving them won't know any different

It won't matter at all. I understand how it would annoy you. Something like this would annoy me too. But the guests won't know x x

It won't matter at all. Chances are evening guests won't see the day invites so they wont know they dont match. Maybe I'm more laid back than the average bride but it wouldnt bother me...people will probably put the date in their diaries and bin the invites anyway it just doesnt seem worth worrying about.

Personally, I would use different invitations for day and evening.
That's just me, though.

I kind of like the idea of different day/ evening ones anyway! You could see if you can get ones in a similar colour palette just a different shade, then it still fits your colour scheme? X

I would say it would be better having them slightly different.

Most people have 2 colours in their colour scheme for their wedding (i.e grey and pink) if your day invites are more toward a silver/grey with pink accents maybe reverse the colours for the evening so theyre the same but different just an example on the colours but you get the idea xx

Not at all, I'll be purposely doing different evening ones! I own a stationery company, so I want to be able to showcase different styles that I can create ️ x

My sisters invitations were all different cos we improvised and used card we already had. There wasn't a specific theme but it was fine and no one will really see other ones!!

I've done different for my evening invites. I think it makes them more unique and a difference between the 2 is good.

I would personally have a different colour for the evening invites. Your guests won't bring them to compare them with each other. I think it'll look nice. We're going to a few weddings this year where We're invited to the day & my in laws are only invited to the evening & they have different invites to what we have. Xxxx

It doesn't matter, it's unlikely the evening guests will see the day time ones, and when someone looks back at your wedding the invitations won't even cross their minds!
