Hi, I'm getting married in March and i feel so uncomfortable with my body but I'm stuck in a rut. I know he loves me for me but I want to feel amazing! I'm currently at my biggest. I've tried slimming world and weight watchers and have done well but then I end up gaining everything back and more. I desperately need to lose the weight but I can't get my head into it. Has anyone got any weight loss tips that may have worked for them?

Eat less and exercise more, if you're feeling peckish drink a cup of water or change what you're doing and it'll break the habit x

I've lost just over 2 stone since the end of march with slimming world... I know you say you've tried it but maybe if you've got something to work to you'll keep it going? My biggest tip is drink 2litres of water a day x

If you struggle with group therapy and solo try finding a PT, they can not only encourage you to exercise but tailor your nutrition to suit your life style

I done slimming world and gained almost all the weight back as well so I feel you're pain. Just now I'm just eating healthy and exercising with a combination of cardio and weights. I went to a Personal trainer for a while which is really good to use if you are unsure about what exercises and stuff to do. They'll also coach you on form to avoid injuries and to know where you can push yourself. Good luck

Exercise .. it'll make you want to eat better as you need to fuel your body correctly to build the muscle and keep getting better at whatever activity it is you choose. Ww and sw do not teach you to fuel your body for exercise Just to lose weight ... change your mindset you'll change the reaction to earlier weight loss plans! Oh and stay away from alcohol as every unit inhibits your body for 24 hrs! Good luck remember your loved for who you are but we can all always be healthier not skinnier!

Can you just not take it slowly with the weight loss up until Jan/Feb then you only have a month or so before wedding you need to feel ready in your head before you start again I'm getting married in may next yr and I'm at slimming world 19lbs so far just take it slowly if I gain a 1lb it's not a issue as know have long enough to lose it again x good luck with what ever you choose to do x

Unfortunately I think that's the case with any of those diets. It's the coming off them that's the hardest. I use my fitness pal and that works for me along with smaller plates. As some of the other ladies have said small goals work better than a large one. Good luck and don't lose hope.

I was the same this time 3 months ago. I get married on 19th this month.
I downloaded couch to 5k
And started running. I started off with 60 seconds continuous running and im almost at 20 mins. I was and still am slightly the unfittest ever. I was also drinking organic apple cider vinigar (1 teaspoon 3 times a day) which suppressed my appetite. Xx

Try the Dukan diet, you do four stages and the initial stage has very quick results so you are really motivated to continue. Have a look at it online-it's free too which is a bonus and is all about getting back in to a healthy relationship with food. Good luck xx

I believe in the eat less and move principle and it's what works for me. I find ww and slimming world don't actually teach you portion sizes etc so it's easy for it to creep back on if you deviate. I also don't like how they like all the fat free stuff etc as it's full of sweetener which is so bad for you! If you just cut down your food a bit, make some healthier choices and try increase some exercise it all adds up. Good luck Hun I'm sure you can do it xx

Don't diet! It feels so restrictive and as soon as you tell yourself that you can't have certain things, you want them more. And then you reward yourself for doing well by eating more rubbish, it's so hard to keep it sustainable. Lifestyle changes that you can enjoy everyday are loads better! I'd advise finding exercise that you actually like doing so it doesn't feel like a chore (e.g. salsa dancing, yoga, hula-hooping, martial arts etc.). Have some fun with it! Exercise stops if you dread doing it. I have a juicer so I've been drinking a green juice everyday (no juice fasting, I like food and eating way too much, but I generally eat like crap and this is the only way to get actual vegetables into my body), and it's really helped. I have a giant green juice instead of lunch or dinner and whilst it's helping my weight, it's making me feel differently about food and making me want to eat better so that rather restricting what I'm eating and wanting to tackle anybody with a Mars bar, I'm doing loads better at giving my body the nutrients that it needs and not feeling as though I'm missing out on anything. I can have chocolate if I want it (so I don't feel as though I'm being forced to give anything up and then battling my will-power), but it's now easier to understand that whole 'moderation' thing I keep hearing about! Good luck and also congratulations on your engagement! x

I've just started the slimfast diet again (failed spectacularly over the past few weeks!) I have terrible willpower so I give in to my cravings.

Fish and salad/ lean meat and veg for every meal. 5 classes a week either HIIT or any cardio / weight based, and running/ jogging once or twice a week. No alcohol. I'm doing this and it's slowly coming off, if you struggle to get to classes try Joe Wicks on you tube. I've always struggled due to bad thyroid and most recently having no time due to house renovating and working full time but it definitely works. Put the hard work in and you'll see the results. Also forget the scales muscle weighs more than fat! X

You need to get your head in the game. If your head isn't in it it won't happen. Try a different slimming world/weight watchers group and find a coach that makes you feel inspired. Once your head is in the game and you're eating the right things and doing some kind of exercise the weight will
Drop off you! You have PLENTY time to make a huge difference to your body so don't get stressed about it, that will only make it harder. You CAN do it!! X

Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Eat more fruit and veggies, drink plenty of water and eat smaller portions. You can still have treats just in moderation :)
