Yes!
Looked shocking... But had left it last minute so had to use them. On the wedding day I certainly made sure I told her what I wanted though & looked much better 🤣
This place for my make-up my hubby had booked as I didn't know the area well, it was such a older fashioned place they didn't even use waterproof mascara & added red blusher to my cheeks as if I was about 80

I loved my hair and make-up ( didn't have a trail on makeup ) but didn't need to because she came highly recommended from a few friends and I looked into her FB page with pictures.

Surely a good make up/ hair stylist should offer a trial for free? My friend had a bad one and found someone else. Maybe google make up artists around you and look at pictures of their work first xx

Yeah I didn't like my make up trial really. It would of been alright, I liked the eyes and the lips but she absolutely CAKED my face in foundation. After a little while it started to crease. Looked horrible. So I've decided I'm doing my own make up!

I didn't like my first make up trial so I told my mua and she did another trial which was perfect.

I absolutely hated my hair trial, the first hair dresser basically told me what I wanted wasn't possible because my hair was too long and heavy, I was with her for 4 hours, she re did my hair 3 times, I cried numerous times, I ended up paying, pretending I was happy and going home and crying over it, I then had my make up trial afterwards which I also hated, eyes were far too heavy and too much on my face, it probably didn't help that I was so upset about my hair trial that nothing would have been good enough! I ended up going to a new hairdresser a week later, she did my hair exactly how the other one said wasn't possible and also tried an up do to put my mind at ease about trying both up and down, make up trial I didn't bother having a second one I just explained to her on the day what I didn't like last time and she did it perfect on the day. Best thing I did was change my hair dresser x

My make up trial was awful. Tried another Mua and it was loads better. I didn't feel like me the first time but I loved my second one and the make up on the day was even better

I loved my hair trial. I was kind of awkward though. I had a set idea of what I wanted and told my hairdresser who was absolutely brilliant. Because I told her in good time she had to refresh herself on certain techniques... I wanted a vintage yet modern twist on everything in the wedding so I wanted my hair to have the waves known on a vintage hair style! When I had the trial I felt it was very loose but I was assured it was going to be absolutely perfect on the day and it was :) I loved it!
I didn't have a make up trial. I trusted the ladies as I knew them and knew they done fantastic jobs on other ladies... I don't know make up like they do...I told her what I liked and didn't like and let her crack on. Loved it :)

Change your make up artist. I'm doing my own just because I'm on a tight budget and don't like people touching my hair or face. Lol but you can find some really good ones who don't make you look like a clown.

If you don't like your makeup tell them there and then. Trust me they won't be offended. Don't let them leave and then tell them later you hated it all along. After all we are trying to guess what you like. And yes looking at pictures can help but please try and remember you will not look like that person in the picture and try not to have too high expectations. You will still look like yourself your not going to look like a new person.
