I really don't like the idea of spending a fortune on flowers for my wedding...

I really don't like the idea of spending a fortune on flowers for my wedding day, when I don't particularly like flowers (I know, strange). Has anyone had anything alternative to flowers on their wedding day that they have carried down the aisle, but on the end of pews, on the tables etc? Any ideas welcome, no matter how daft!

Hi I went to a wedding where they had candles on glass plates with coloured stones that matched their theme on the tables. It looked beautiful and was a nice change from flowers. Not sure what you could use on the ends of pres or instead of a bouquet but hope this helps.

Hi I've recently seen lots of weddings where people donated money to the rspca and had puppies or dogs instead of bouquets cute idea just watch out for your dress :) x

Friends of mine had bouquets make of silver charms rather than flower which looked lovely although they were really heavy. There are loads of options for table centers without flowers. Have a look on Pintrest. End of aisles... Why not have the bows on the chairs at the end on the side of the chair not the back x

You can get bouquets now made out of stones/gems etc. There's loads of non flower ideas for centre pieces/pews etc. I had bows and then candles on my tables. My sister had wicker hearts as pew ends

If you Google alternative bouquets there a loads of options, broach bouquets are becoming quite popular and also paper flowers.
If you don't use pinterest I would recommend for all wedding ideas :)

We're having silver candelabras with candles as our centre pieces. You could just have ribbons on the pew ends.

If you really want to be hardcore, i saw a photo of a woman carrying a sword down the aisle! It was a theme wedding, but actually looked really nice!!!

Alot of pictures and ideas on Pinterest if you look. Have you thought about a bouquet made up of broches? You can have it all sparkley and vintage looking or bright and colourful. The options are endless.

Our wedding room is in an old castle so very dark. We are using candles and fairy lights to decorate that amd then using them as table centre pieces.

I had candelabras with pearls hanging from them on tables.
I've known someone that has had her bridal party carry lanterns which would be nice
Don't think pew ends are necessary, our church put they're own on for us which were just wicker hearts.
What about a pearl bouquet? Xx

I've seen some lovely pictures on various florists that use succulents or cacti as centrepieces. Interspersed with candles it looks really attractive and makes a nice change to flowers :-)

I had a paper&brooch bouquet, wicker hearts on pews & jam jars with hessian that we filled with home grown sweet peas on the tables.

I used cherry blossom trees and it was beautiful... although I used flowers as my bouquet you could use baby breath as that would be simple but beautiful
