Hello, you could get bubbles or do small bags with sweets in? There are also candles that are personlised. If you aren't doing a table bag you need something that will suit everyone that can be placed on each seat.

My brother and sister in law had a mini sweet shop. They had a number of different jars all with different sweet and personalised bags to put them in. Was really good everyone just helped themselves x

My 1st wedding I had favours in a basket and my 2 little bridesmaid went round and handed them out to everyone, everyone thought it was really cute. We too didn't have a table plan. People could sit here every they wanted to.

I'm going to do a mixture of favours. I think there will be about 100 in total with evening guests. I'm doing some homemade bits, and then a lucky dip bag. Some will have sweets and others maybe money or lotto cards?

Same here, we are having a hog roast so very informal and no seating plan. Our wedding favours are from our photo booth, everyone gets a print and a 2nd print goes in to our guest book x

If you're not sure where to put them you could pop them on everyone chairs for the ceremony that way you know they'll all get one xxx

I made these myself. Cost a lot less than buying them made up.
100 jars £30
100 lace lids £18
100 labels £12
6kg sweets £26
Saved me a fortune and I got together with my mum, mother in law and sister in laws and had a night in making them with a few glasses of wine! Got everything on eBay apart from the sweets, got those in wholesalers xx

My cousin didn't have a formal meal at her wedding either. They had a table and someone giving out their wedding favours, which were beers that meant something to them, or jams and pickles that were from a place that meant something to them. That worked really well, as people could pick. If you are going for even more low key, why not have a few different baskets or boxes dotted around with a selection?

Save your money as most people don't appreciate them and they either get left at the reception or thrown into a drawer if they reach home!

Some kind of cake/tray bake/sweet idea that can be laid out on a table.

We're not doing favours and we are having a sit down meal. It's just extra faff that we can't afford and no one really pays them any attention

Is there a table the venue could put out with all the favours on then people could just pick one up? That way if you didn't want to pick one type (like sweets) you could have different ones and people just pick what they want xx

We are doing shot glasses, personalised for the guests (bit of glitter and a glass pen!!) and a take a shot, take a seat sign... works if your guests like a drink! If not glasses of sweets? Also I've been to weddings where each guest gets a scratch card, quite a simple but fun idea, could write each persons name on them and display them on a table or something? Good luck

We didn't have a sit down meal or a table plan. We had cake pops as our favours and put one at each seat and had a table with spares on. This worked really well.

UKbride Member 24 Jul 2017

Im interested to know how you are feeding 140 with out sitting down.

you could do cake pops with the guests name on the tag and pop them on a pretty plate at the end of your Buffett it's a sweet treat, hand made and you can personalise it to make your guests aware you've personalised their favour xxxxxx
