We had to cut our guest list due to new regs at our venue and this ment all our sibling could not attend for the sit down meal. My mum and the venue have come up with a compromise. Our siblings can book a table in there other restaurant (on same site) for a discount meal and then join us in ours for the speeches etc. I am over the moon with this however we haven't budgeted for it and can not afford it. Would it be bad to ask them to pay for there own meal?
If you have had to cut the list, has the price not gone down (are you paying per person). If it's gone down could you not use that money or could the venue not provide a free meal if the price hasn't gone down? X
Maybe if you explain the situation they will understand?
What? appalling!! I would cancel that venue how rude of them!!
if you have agreed on a price with a set number of guests then you should be able to have that number of guests! I would fight them on this... x
... at least ask for some money back etc! x
