So we have hired a DJ For our reception as a band was going to cost so much. The DJ spoke to me and said she has already gotten my play list for the wedding, she didn't ask me what type of music we want played and if we have any requests. Is this normal?.. .I am a tad worried it might be all cheese. .don't get me wrong I like a bit of cheese but at my choice lol. Should I ask to see the list or would that be rude.

I would def be asking to see that list. There's songs neither of us can stand and I'm not having my day spoilt by these been played so I'm working with the DJ for what we want and don't want x

have a chat with the dj, theres no point in paying for some one to play music you hate, do a play list yrself let them know what music you like, its yr day ! x

Definitely ask to see the list and don't be afraid to add or remove songs, after all you are paying them, so you should get what you want.

Any good dj would not use a play list. You should send her your preferences!!

This is so wrong!!!!! it's your wedding, have a chat with her or cancel and get someone who's going to listen to your wants and needs. I've been to lots of weddings and the wrong dj can ruin your wedding day, as guests will leave early or all decide to go to a club instead ( I've seen this happen several times) Get friends and family to suggest songs that they will dance to and then give the list to your dj to play and they can then add songs that your guests will enjoy

Ask to see it! It's not ride at all, it's your wedding and you're paying for her service! She might think she was being helpful, trying to take some stress off but it is still your choice

I would definitely ask so you can make changes to it! You might think the list is terrible after all! You don't want your day ruined by music you don't like! X
