Hi I'm due to get married this year and having problems with family members...

Hi I'm due to get married this year and having problems with family members (not my side) we haven't spoke for 6 months due to a misunderstanding. I have tried to contact them numerous times but they haven't responded. I have not done anything wrong and the situation is just getting worse. I have planned as much as I can with the wedding but I have not enjoyed any part of it as I am worried that there will be a scene on the day as my family are not happy that I'm being treated this way. I really just don't know what to do. I love my fiancé but I want to enjoy the day and not feel that people aren't happy for us. Do I postpone the wedding or just go ahead and hope nothing is said??

I would carry on as planned but I would talk to your side of the family to make sure they dont say anything at least. Can your partner talk to their side of the family to try to sort this out? Try to enjoy yourself as it is yours and your partners day x

Hi I agree with Naomi but if they won't listen but still come to the wedding make is clear to everyone if there is a row then ask the person/s to leave it is your day after all :)

If you've tried your best to contact them then i would leave it at that, leave them to it. Talk to your family and get your h2b to talk to his. Make sure both sides know that the one day is just about the 2 of you. Xxx

I agree with all the girls - don't let anyone ruin your wedding!

What does you h2b say? I definitely would not postpone your wedding
