What's the best way to save money when booking a wedding without it looking tacky? Or is that an impossibility? I am making invites, table favours and arranging the bouquets myself. I don't want a buffet, either I would like a sit down meal :(

I would try haggling with the vendors. Having your wedding out of peek time and on a weekday also helps to save money and gives you more scope to haggle. x

Look at booking a weekday, we've saved £k's, also if there package includes extras (invites/flowers/cake etc) ask what the price is without, it's what we have done, again saving so much, meaning we've got an awesome venue at a fraction of the advertised cost.

Top tip
Optimal print . Order 1 card get 10 !! I ordered 1 service card to see what it was like .. cost me 1.90 for 10 bit sneeky I know but you get beautiful invites or service cards for a fraction of the price x
