We got it was only 25quid for a decent cover by John Lewis. In the grand scheme of things it's nothing but id rather have it as a just In case! X

Yes!!! We didn't bother with it and our suit company recently went bust after we paid in full! This company was reputable and been in business 100 years! We luckily managed to get the money back through the bank but the same day bought insurance just in case!! If we had insurance at the time we would of saved ourselves a lot of stress and worry!!!

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jun 2017

No. Didn't even think of us needing it.
I guess wedding insurance is good for when you hire out lots of different companies for your day, to help protect yourself... Which we didn't do, it'd would of only been our hotel that may of needed cover but all went well for us.

We haven't bothered but to be honest probably should have because we can't afford to lose the money! Only 25 days to go now so doesn't seem like there's any point anymore!

Yes, £50 in the grand scheme of things is nothing compared to the loss if something goes wrong!!

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jun 2017

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jun 2017

Yes, it's a relatively small price to pay for piece of mind, but do check the small print for what's covered

Most definitely. You wouldn't go on holiday without insurance that you hope you will never have to use. You can get it pretty cheap and hopefully will never have to use it but better to be safe then sorry.

Natalie Edmonds

Yes! Although it depends how much of a risk taker you are x

UKbride Administrator

I'd say yes, but we've tried to get it but because my partner has a heart condition no1 will insure us so make sure u read the small print wen u do find 1

Jodie Howard

I say yes. I heard someone had their wedding transport cancel on them a week before the wedding, the insurance payed for replacement. We have insurance, it isn't too expensive really considering what you could lose.

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jun 2017

Not bothering with it

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jun 2017

I'm a 'yes' voter on this one. Jane & David, I got John Lewis insurance but there are lots of companies doing really good wedding cover! Read everyone's comments on here, a few people have lost money when companies have gone bust

Hi, I own a venue dressing business and two of my brides have both been left without a photographer after theirs went into bankruptcy. Both brides had paid in full and may only be getting 10% of their original payments back. We now offer wedding insurance, through a broker, from just £25 a policy.

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jun 2017

Sorry to the jump on are wedding booked for august 2018. We already have alot of deposit put down and no insurance would t cover for things we already booked

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jun 2017

Definitely yes. It's not even that expensive. You never know what could happen so defo worth getting! X

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jun 2017

If you've got a reasonable budget that you've put a lot of savings in, it's worth protecting your investment. We never needed to use our wedding insurance but it was worth it because £10,000 would be impossible to replace if our venue had gone under for example.

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jun 2017

Yes, we did. A piece of mind .

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 27 Jun 2017

No never crossed my mind to get it, everything went smoothly and had no issues :)

Yes! I didn't and my videographer went bankrupt and I will never see my £500.... Learn from my mistake xx

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 27 Jun 2017

Yes, it's really cheap and the cost is next to nothing compared to if one of your suppliers decides not to honour a contract.

Georgia Fuller
Georgia Fuller 27 Jun 2017

Yes! We went with Debenhams and got a £10 gift card which I spent on my H2Bs birthday present, so win win 👍🏻😂

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 27 Jun 2017

Definitely YES it's not worth the worry of not having any. Weddings can be quite costly - unless you have a money tree at the bottom of the garden. Lol. It's 1 less thing to worry about.

UKbride Administrator
