Just be careful as some hotels will call themselves castles. For example "Sherbrooke Castle" looks like a small castle but it's a small hotel with a turret. Very beautiful but not a castle. 🤣
Christopher Kelly
You can at Eileen Donan castle. It's the most beautiful castle ever. Just before the isle of sky on a little island. https://www.facebook.com/Eileandonancastle1/
I was married when younger at Edinburgh castle. The rules then were you could only marry if you or your intended were serving soldiers of the castle at that time OR if your name was Margaret.
I believe the rules have now relaxed and you can apply for a license to wed there.
Culzean Castle
Sorn castle. New to the public and private weddings, privately owned.
We are getting married at Comlongon Castle in November. It's not too far (near Dumfries) and is the most castle like out of the ones we looked at. You get married in front of an open fire by candlelight - in a room with flags, and swords and suits of armour.
