Yes yes yes! The videos of our wedding were amazing and we watch them all the time! Much more than we look through the pictures to be honest. And some friends that got married around the same time as us really regret now not having a video of their wedding.

I'd say for a big wedding, where it would be easy not to get to spend a bit of time with everyone yeah, it's a great way to look back and see things you may have missed, but if your budget is tight and the wedding isn't going to be huge I'm sure you could go without and not suffer for it.

Yes definitely get one, we booked ours last minute and it was the best decision. The day goes by in such a blur, the video helps you remember. Also it will capture little moments you don’t get to see. My husband loved watching the bridal prep and I loved watching all the guests arrive. Highly recommend Green Wedding Films 👍🏻 xxx

I used to be a wedding videographer and had a videographer for my wedding and it’s honestly such a wonderful thing to have. Photos are beautiful, obviously, but watching it back and seeing all my guests enjoying themselves and seeing my dad give his speech again etc, it’s something that I will treasure forever.

100% YES! It’s a live memory and I watch it every couple of months at least and we are 19 months married xx

Yes. Do your research though, there are so many out there, but it is definatle worth it, capture those moments that photos don't, also speeches, and of course your vows to each other. Well worth it xx

I wish we ad 1 cos there were parts of the day I missed or cant remember cos too focused. Paid money for 2 amazing singers for the ceremony and canapes and dont remember hearing them sing all our favour songs xx

I know a lot of people say to get one and its the best decision they've made. I don't have one and people are telling me to reconsider. Part of me wants one but I simply don't have the money for one in my budget. If you can comfortably afford it, and you want one, go for it, but don't cripple yourself xx

Our photographer will be making a video of our ceremony and the first dance other then that we will have the pics.

I wasn’t going to have one due to cost but then found one doing them cheap as he was still at uni and it was to build his portfolio. Cost me £300 and is lovely to look back on. If you could get in touch with colleges, you may find someone like that

I can genuinely say I am glad I didn't have a videographer. My photographer done such a good job capturing the day that having a videographer would have been a waste of money for me. My photographer even put together a 15 minute slideshow of some photo highlights of the day to various piece of music that we got to pick and it is honestly perfect.

Beautiful photos are all well and good but dont capture the atmosphere the same as a video! Some photographers do both so have a shop round x

my sister has been married 10 years and has watched her video twice. for the prices they charge i don't think its worth it tbh. everyone has a smartphone with a videocamera on it so collect all the videos taken and put them together yourself:)

The only thing I regret about my wedding is not having a videographer. A photographer can only capture so much, and I’m such a sentimental person I’d love to be able to re-watch the day again. But alas ha x

Having a video of my wedding has been so lovely.
We didn't have a professional though. I couldn't justify that money.
We just borrowed a camera from a friend amd my brother videoed it on a tripod for us moving when he needed to.

Would definitely recommend having a video but if you're on a budget just grab a cheap camcorder or borrow one 😊

My mum and dad has one the guy who did it though messed it up and half the video was upside down and blocked however it’s something that they treasure and has been watched many times as there are family in the video who have sadly passed away that they get to look back on and it’s something they showed me and my brothers. My mum and father in law got his brother to do it as he was a videographer and a photographer. He unfortunately has since passed away so it’s something they treasure and it’s a really beautiful reminder of the day.

Yes! We now have two daughters and I showed our wedding video to our eldest (she is 2) a while ago and she LOVED it. When I came down the aisle she gasped ‘oh Mummy! You’re a princess!’ I felt so emotional watching it with her. She absolutely loved seeing Mummy and Daddy getting married and seeing all our family members in the video. She has asked to watch it loads of times since and we sit and watch it together. These precious moments have made the wedding video worth every penny 💕

I'm so glad we had one! However, as lots of people have said, it's expensive. If you aren't fussed about having it look really professional, it's cheaper to buy the video camera and ask an usher or specific guest to do it. People are normally chuffed to be asked to do things! We wanted the ceremony, speeches and first dance. It's a great thing to have to look back on. Also some of our family members were quite frail and unable to attend so it's a nice way to show them the day!

We had one and I watch the video more than I look at the photo's. If you're worried about money you could consider asking at your local college for someone who's doing a film course, it works out a lot cheaper and if you're happy for them to they can use it as part of their portfolio. This is what we did and they were honestly brilliant, I just gave them a list of everything I wanted them to capture and they got it all.

Check with your venue as you may need to pay extra for a license to have a videographer

Mine cancelled last minute and I’m still gutted that we didn’t get to have one, the speeches were amazing but still can’t remember a word of any of them. I think either way if you can afford one better to have and not need than want and regret later?

I said no for months but as we are having an unplugged ceremony I wanted to capture the moment and something to look back in years to come when my dad isn’t around anymore. Nobody videos these days, I watched my mums old wedding video (done on one of those big camcorders and there are so many family members on there that aren’t around anymore) so I changed my mind and now have one. Couldn’t be happier. Xx

I was in the same thoughts, I've had many people say they wish they had one. For me it was money - we couldn't afford both a videographer and photographer so we opted for a company that sends out video cameras for you/your party/guests to record and they edit for you

If you can fit it into your budget then 100% yes. We were married 6 years ago and both of our Dads are no longer with us, it is the only thing we have of them both talking etc. It is one of my most treasured possessions ❤ if it just isn't withing reach financially, then definitely look at maybe asking a student, they maybe looking to gain experience. Or get friends and family to record parts and put it all together afterwards, I'm sure theres apps and stuff that will do that xx

I have every faith that he will be there, so I want that memory to continuously look back on. Either way, I know I won't regret having it, whereas I may regret not!

I’d have the videographer before a photographer. Never look at our photos but watching the video takes you right back to the moment and you see things that you missed on the day

I didn’t have one. My photographer gave me a usb stick with all my photos on and a slide show with music from the wedding. It was amazing

I love watching back at my wedding, listening to the voices and the Speeches they all did. I don't regret it for a second. A photographer can get stills of the day but nothing beats watching people walk and talk.

I’m biased as I’m a wedding videographer myself but... it’s so worth it! I got married last year and I’m so glad it was captured on film. I absolutely hate being in front of the camera but I asked him to focus more on our family and friends. I’m so glad I did it as the day just whizzed by and it’s amazing to watch everything back, especially all the bits I didn’t get to see on the day. X

We had our wedding filmed by a friend as we couldn't afford .a videographer - its been nearly 4 years now and we've still not watched it. Plenty of people will tell you to spend your money on it, but I also know couples who paid extra and watched the video like once, and thats when they first got it. Might be nice for the big anniversary milestones but thats all (in my opinion! But then, hubby does say I'm the least romantic person he knows! Lol)

We watch a video that Fiona's cousins husband did... it's more natural

I decided against getting a videographer simply because of the price. Instead I borrowed a good quality video camera and tripod for the day. One of the groomsmen was in charge of making sure it was set up for the ceremony and recorded that. Then afterwards I edited the footage using iMovie. My only regret is not getting the speeches recorded too, but overall I am delighted that I got my ceremony on camera and it cost me nothing!

If you can afford it, get one! The day goes so quickly and we both said afterwards that we'd love to relive it.

We had a Videographer booked for our big wedding which was last Saturday. Covid meant we had to massively scale back our wedding from 200 people to 22. I said to the photographer no point filming as we can only have the ceremony and none of the other bits and just to film later in the year when we do it again with everyone. He said he would do the service free of charge and the rest of the package next year. I'm so glad he did. We have our video back already and it's amazing. We have watched it so many times xx

I didn't have one and don't regret it at all. But, I had an incredible photographer who captured the whole day so perfectly I don't feel like a moment was missed. So, I'd say at the very least make sure you get a decient photographer.

I just think if you have a selected person in the audience to record the ceremony speech & first dance then you don’t need one to be honest. That’s what I’m doing x

I wasn't. But then my wedding got postponed. And I saw a friend teaser video and realised that I wanted to remember as much of the day as possible and to be able to show my children again and again as I kkow theyd watch it over, and my grandchildren if I get any. And I want to remember the speeches. They ae going to be emotional and I want to remember and relive every word
So I decided yes it's totally worth it.
But it's not for everyone

We had a videographer who had a drone and actually we were so pleased that we did. We were told my multiple people it was a waste but actually I am so happy we did as I was so pleased with it and means we can relive the day whenever we want, plus I think it will be lovely for our kids to see when the time comes

I was I considering just asking my stepdad to film a few of the important bits on his phone then using his video software to put the together and put them on a dvd for us.

Depends who you use. Mine was a big mistake, got in the way of the photographer, made a terrible video that I had to ask to be edited and the nasty emails I received when I complained they forgot to film the last dance tarnished the memories. I hated the video, loved the photos but seeing the videographer in the background ruined some shots.

We have booked this and been told by friends that we'll regret it if not
