Not sure whether to go for real or fake flowers for our wedding. I've seen some lovely artificial bouquets online that are pretty cheap but don't want to waste money if they're no good. I'm also struggling to get quotes from florists without giving them an open ended budget. Any suggestions gratefully received.
My flowers I had
Try Jane's Vintage Flowers. She is making mine and they are beautiful
I've had button ones made. They are beautiful. Lady on eBay made them for me. If you're interested can share pics had 3 for £50. Main and 2 for bridemaids and buttonholes **SEE BELOW PIC**
I had false flowers for my wedding and I loved them, also meant I can keep them forever ❤️ these guys do ace flowers: https://www.wildfloralevents.co.uk/wedding-info/ xxx
Ive got mine from grovy Ruby online. They're absolutely beautiful artifical flowers and such decent prices. Highly recommend.
Not for everyone but I had paper flowers! I have hay-fever so didn't want to be a snotty mess 🙈🤧

I’m having artificial when I get married in June as I wanted to keep them forever. Il buy a nice vase to put them in. Some of the quotes I was getting for real flowers was crazy compared to artificial and you can get some artificial that look real. It depends on budget and if you’d like to keep them or not I think x
I’m going for fake ones and I’m going to attempt to make them myself. My local college is doing a wedding flower workshop. I am thinking about going and using the techniques for fake flowers. Xx
I'm going for artificial because I want to keep them afterwards. Also, fiance has asthma and allergies ,so don't want that to flare up!
As my MiL did the bouquets (I went with her to purchase the flowers and choose colours etc) I find I didn't want to throw the bouquet, I wanted to keep it safe. But I feel like a faux bouquet would have been good as I wouldn't have cared as much about throwing it and it would have been a brilliant keepsake.
We are making our own- ordering the flowers from a florist and putting the bouquets and button holes together ourselves. I’m using a lot of eucalyptus, gypsophilia and some white/cream roses.
My mum made mine with artificial flowers. They looked beautiful and also I got to keep them as a keepsake.
10years on I still have my fake bouquet... Love it...
Forever Flowers by Em I can quote you for artificial ☺️
I’m making my own with dried and artificial flowers so I have time work on and test the arrangements. There is a lot you can do with dried and artificial now and they are hugely less expensive and wasteful.
I done artificial ordered online I'm happy with them and my bridesmaids are too
We went for real flowers in the bouquets for me and my bridesmaids, real buttonholes and identical artificial flowers for the tables and decorations. So I still got to keep some of them.
I'm having paper flowers with my colours and pages from my favourite book.
Doing artificial made them my self . All silk flowers so look more real , defo cheaper making them your self. And so easy x
I have a lot of bridesmaids so I've gone for fake , real flowers these days cost an absolute fortune!!! And my bouquets look lovely plus its sumink for them to keep too
Helen Strickley is making mine, they are stunning!!!
Mine were artificial, they now sit in a vase at home and I still love them xx
We're having real flowers so we can press them after the wedding xx
I got my fake flowers from the balloon lady on Facebook and they are stunning! xx
No ordinary bouquet they are on facebook and etsy. Stunning work x
That's odd a florist should give you rough quote if you got an ideal of what you want.
I got quoted £55 for each bridesmaids bouquet, standard style with long stems. £120 for my bouquet, with a over hanging natural effect. They include roses, olive eucalyptus Azaleas ect in white and orange. Not sure if this is helpful
We had a lot of flowers they £750 for my bouquet two adult bridesmaids 1 flower girl 2 mother broaches 1 grandma 12 button holes flowers for church then we had loads in the tipis. You can give them a budget and they can work within it xx
I make paper flowers. You can see come that I have made on my Facebook page Stems from Paper xx
I'm terrified of bugs and had a September wedding so I had fake, I brought tons of different fake flowers I like and my mum put them together, they looked completely stunning and I get to keep them forever xxx
We're going for silk flowers for the wedding venue decorations and real for my bouquet etc.
Our silk flowers are coming via RLA wedding design. They are amazing!
I met with 2 different florists and just discussed what I wanted and both are giving detailed quotes, so can remove or add anything I want x

Personally, I prefer real flowers every time. They feel wonderful, and smell fantastic
Just send them a photo and ask how much for something like that.
I was quoted £85 for mine so I'm making my own. I'm not paying £85 for flowers I'm just gonna throw at someone 😂
highly recommend GroovyRuby - Artificial Wedding Flowers
I think it depends on the asthetic you want for your wedding. I am a wedding florist based in Essex, I think the worst thing a couple can do is to expect everything to be within their budget, there is almost always compromise. I don't supply artificial generally because for me to purchase the stem price is so much more expensive than what I can find my fresh stems for. The general consensus is you should allocate 10% of your overall budget towards flowers, (fresh or artificial), and you need to weigh up how important having flowers at your wedding will be and whether you can warrant the price of them. Unfortunately the risk of purchasing anything online is that the item turn out the opposite of what they seem online. And sometimes if something seems to good to be true, it usually always is. What with Brexit and potentially any added taxes you are going to find that the prices only increase. Xx

I had artificial for three reasons... 1 I suffer with hayfever and am such a loud sneezer. 2 I wanted to have peony roses which are hard to get in November 3 The cost....
I’m having silk flowers for mine. Keep them forever that way:)
I’m having real due to preference but will have a few stems from it pressed for keepsake...
Went for fresh as gotta store it after but my lady worked from home so she was massively cheaper xx
The balloon lady (on here) did mine. Very reasonable without being poor quality. Looked gorgeous and still do in my lounge.
Love looking at everyone’s bouquets - all so beautiful.
I am a firm believer of fresh flowers though. Don’t think u can beat them. I didn’t want to keep mine - instead I placed them on my grandparents grave (mums side) after my wedding and my sister placed hers on grandparents grave (dads side). As we were going on honeymoon after we gave our flowers to guests from the table arrangements. The top table arrangement went on my great grandparents grave x
I ordered mine on Ebay, cause I have no skills for crafting, I ordered samples from 2 sellers and went with the one I liked the most. Mine were made with Alice in wonderland's book
I have chosen artificial because I am going to put my bouquet in a box frame on the wall after the wedding. A friend of mine had her fresh flower bouquet preserved to do the same and it cost her an extra £450!!!!! If you go artificial make sure they are silk and not foam ☺ 💐
We did artificial, for the flower girls head dresses and table decorations, best thing we did, saved a fortune and we got keepsakes for ever. We use the top table ones at christmas for the dinner table ❤ xx
Real 100% Why have fake?
If you aren’t specific with your flower choice it will be hard for a florist to give you a quote. You have to tell them exactly what you need and with what flowers
Think ill be having fake as I always sneeze around real ones 😩
Why not get fake flowers ones for others and get real flowers bouquet for you. That's what I'm doing.
Chelsea Osgood just some thing to look at for flowers when you get a chance, read the comments it’s worth it xxx
Hello! You may contact the supplier and ask them if they would be willing to send you a sample of the stock.
The artificial flowers actually do have the advantage of not wilting, which is something to consider if you are having a warm weather wedding . With regards to budget for florist, flowers can easily spiral from 100’s to 1000’s if not narrowed down. So it would be really helpful to give them a rough idea on how much you would like to spend if possible.
If you are not sure we can help to calculate the percentage based on your overall spend. Please feel free to contact our planning team if you wish to discuss 02080047083 😊
