Hi I am inviting children to the wedding however not sure about my what to put in their gift bags. We have an variety of ages from 1.5 years to 12. Would you do a bag for all of the children or only to a certain age? Please help!! xx
It depends on the children. I'd definitely do entertainment bags for the younger children but something different for the older ones x
I did little part bags for the younger kids and the older ones ended up have one too as they all asked for one we did bubbles too x
We did an activity book, crayons, a disposable camera and bubbles in a pack for the kids 😊 they all loved it x
I placed named colouring books in mines
Sweet bags will keep them quiet when speeches etc
disposable cameras...I got some cracking pics fromnthe kids cameras with a wee list of pics for them to take to check off..good fun
Highly recommend a bib for any young kids and age appropriate toys and sweeties to keep
Them entertained during
I did kinder surprise eggs bubbles for young ones sticker colouring books puzzle books them foam airplanes. Glow stick wands x
I would put colouring books and crayons sweets to keep them occupied while they are sitting down x
We had board games and rubix style cubes/snakes for the older ones x
I made gift bags specially for kids, they contained a variety of kid and adult colouring books, crayons and a bag of mixed sweets.
Though with the kids being between 3-14 i don’t think there was much interest since people left them behind.
My youngest was only 6-7 months so he didn’t get anything.
We gave our kids a challenge, we put a disposable camera n a list of photos to take, we collected the cameras from them after their challenge n got the camera developed, the photos were great, we added the photos to our album, it was photos we would never have had, kept them busy they all loved it 😃
I think I had colouring book and pencils, a magic trick, batman rings for boys, small lego boxes with cars, bikes, boats in from poundland, I cnat remember the rest. My little one was 8 months so he had personalised cutlery and a couple of toys I picked up cheaply.
All I have done is given the kids activity packs has colouring bits in dot to dots word searches that sort of thing no gift bags
We did age specific bags, had a great day out with friends selecting things to put in to entertain them. Comments off parents were great and the children had fun playing or using what they had. We did bubbles, bubble cameras, balloons, glow sticks, colouring or puzzle books, mini Lego sets, bouncy toys, soft books for the tinies. Magic card games. We got packs of things from wilko and the entertainer toy shop. And put 10 items in each bag. Chocolate freddos included.
I did bags to suit the child they were for x
Ive done my under 7s personalised colouring books. The 9 and 11 a more adult like colouring book with mermaids and my 12yr old page boy has got 2 disposable cameras and a list of pictures to try and capture throughout the day (hopefully keep him off his phone 😂)
Crayons and colouring and bubbles for the little ones and top trumps for the older ones x
We had 35 kids at our wedding ranging from babies up to 13 we did jars of sweets, pencil crayons and colouring books and glow sticks for when it went dark we also had a fire pit with marshmallows for the evening as we were in tipis so the children sat long enough to eat and listen to speeches and then were off on the bouncy castles and football pitch so tbh we hardly saw them. X at my cousins wedding they had a lovely colouring book and pencil that changed colour and some sweets and that kept them occupied but only a few children would have been expensive it lots of kids. X
We put in quiet activities like colouring, stickers, bubbles and little toys they could play with at the tables, disposable cameras, different selections for different ages then things like phone cases and jewelry for the tweens and teens. 1.5 year old something like a board book, teddy, fidget toy, 12 year old, costume jewelry, disposable cameras, lip gloss, phone case, yoyo, puzzle book.
I did activity books for all kids under 10 with some pencils each... Then in their favour boxes I put a couple little chocolates
We had a sweet cart at our wedding
I set up a crafts table in the corner if the room and did a bag of cheap bits in from pound shop (kids love bits of crap lol) just small bits of toys, small Colouring book, in ebay you can bulk buy stuff from mini chattering teeth to wind up cars / crawling babies. The kids loved them and the parents were so grateful for the bags and it kept them entertained all night. Bulk buying is key to keeping costs down depending how many kids you have coming xx
We had bubbles, colouring books, and loads of party bag gifts like farting slime, googly eye glasses, glow sticks, mini rubix cubes etc. Didn't do gift bags but just laid everything out on tables in an adjacent room and let them go wild. The idea at first was to do lucky dip buckets with sawdust but our organisation was terrible.
We are doing spot the different books (cheap from tiger) and some chocolates a disposable camera with like a scavenger hunt of photos they have to take- lady with the biggest hat, crazy dancer just silly things. X
My baby daughter, well she was 9 months, got a gift box with age appropriate bits in for her auntie and uncles wedding
We made them a box each with their name on, with stickers, a colouring page, puzzles and a photo list for the older kids and gave them all a mini card for them to decorate and give someone at another table.
Im just doing colouring packs and a bag of sweets
Bag for all but stuff in them age specific. Try getting the party bag fillers from tesco and things
We only had a handful, so we picked out things specific to their ages, but went with colouring books mostly...
The very young ones I got a miniature book library for (few pounds from amazon) the older ones I did activity packs for which worked really well.
I’ve done bags for all of my children, like you, mine will range from 18 months to 13 years, I just changed up the bits that went in it, more mature stuff for as they got older
I would do a bag for all that suits all ages - cake, bubbles, a balloon and colouring book and crayons
Everyone got the same for favours at mine. They all got Kendal mint cake. On the tables I put selfie props etc as the adults were big kids too. I had a box of activity stuff put to one side for all kids. Which was used and at night I had a massive sweet stall (done by myself) and a tipi that I got off Amazon that you can colour in. Found them all in it at one point in the night. They all said what fun they had. 👍
We are doing bags of simple crafts bits for young children for during the speeches
Mine’s got a wedding activity colouring pack with puzzles and pencils off amazon. On of those squishy toy’s off eBay, and then will have love heart sweets like the adults. X
Hello! If you don’t want to make separate bags for each kid or if you’re having too many little ones in attendance , all you need to do is a big basket or two, and chuck everything in there for the kids to help themselves.
There are fabulous things you can put in kids’ goodie bags like sketchbook, coloring book, activity book, sticker book, magic book and crayons.☺️
