Walking down the aisle items

Hi. I get married next year in August, outside. I really don't want real flowers at my wedding, mainly because they cost a fortune and will just die a few days later. I was originally thinking of having a wedding in October (indoors), so I could have my bridesmaids come down the aisle with light up, but real wax candles. Now due to the season and venue change being outside, the candles wouldn't have the same effect. Has anyone used fake flowers for their wedding? And any recommendations on where to get them from? Or, another option what my bridesmaids could possibly hold walking down the asile? Looking for inspiration ????

I used cheap fake flower garlands from eBay to decorate a garden arch for the focus of our ceremony, and it looked really effective. We had a coastal wedding so I had seashell and artificial flower bouquets made specially by a lovely lady on Etsy, who used photos of the wedding and bridesmaid dresses to inspire her.

UKbride Member 12 Feb 2020

Yes... my bouquet was silk flowers and peacock feathers, mostly because I am allergic to most pollens. They looked stunning and I still have them as a keepsake.

I had dried flower bouquets rustic style so we could all keep afterwards... we all had dried flower head dresses. The florist made them up.

UKbride Member 15 Feb 2020

I've just been quoted £365 for 8 artificial bouquets/flowers in jugs so am considering looking at the range for artificial ones as this is for table decorations and its rather expensive so i would guess fresh flowers would be just as expensive,if not more!

UKbride Member 15 Feb 2020

Each of my bridesmaids held the hand of my flower girls who had baskets of fake scented flower petals to drop. It was so pretty and meant the little ones weren’t so nervous

UKbride Member 16 Feb 2020
