I didn’t have one as my husband said Aslong as it made me happy and feel like a princess I could get it,
But I found the most amazing one for £295 which was on sale as it was meant to be £1350

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I bought my wedding dress from asos £180 but I always knew I didn't want to spend loads on a dress I was wearing for just 1 day good luck finding your dream dress xx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My
Dress was £54 off eBay and I felt amazing wearing it

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My dream one is £1500 but I'm hoping that I can find a very similar one for a third of that!

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My max was £500. Paid £375 from Wed2Be.

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

wed2be had nice and quality dresses are do not go over £599, and all the prices are on the website. Got mine from there and has a really good experience!

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My lovely fiancé gave me £2000 for a dress! 🙈 I found one I felt amazing in for £1700

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My partner set is to 200 ut when we found the one stretch to 475

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I got mine from WED2B at £599. I also bought a veil clip, belt, dress bag and storage boxes. It came to just over £900 in total.

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Mine was originally £1600 but got it in the sale for £800:)

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Mine was 1800 24 years ago and it was out of my price range but the assistant said it was going in the sale and got it for half price, i still have my wedding dress and next year its being remodelled to be a vow reknewal dress.. every year i get it out and i wear it and if i go fancy dresses out it comes.. sadly the material cannot be dyed so hoping to have it made into a simple maxi dress for next year silver jubilee and the excess material will be made into other items.. do i regret it hell no still think is the most beautiful dress ever ..

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Any dressmaker will tell you Wed2b and similar are cheap and decent value but not well made. You definitely get what you pay for. ASOS and some high street brands have nice wedding dresses now though or you could try an outlet if your budget is tight?

I went to a local bridal boutique and got my Maggie Sottero gown at a pop up event with 15% off so cost about 1200£ in the end with my budget being about 1,800£.

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Originally 1500 but realised was more than can afford, went down to 1000. I ended up getn mine in a sample sale for 560 so I was very happy, original price was 1200 😊

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I've paid £100 for my wedding dress from a charity shop. Brand new and never worn. Definitely everything I wanted and was told by an assistant in wed2b it didn't exist. Saved me a fortune

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My parents are paying for mine, i originally had £1500 for mines and they said they’ll stick to that, but where I’m shopping first most dresses aren’t over £700! So hope I find my dress there x

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Original budget was £250, saw one on ASOS for £95 that I had my heart set on....then last weekend I went wedding dress trying on just to see what the experience was like and I paid £650 for "the one" 😊 worth it!!!

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I hadn’t set a budget and just went to “look” at dresses, ended up falling in love with a one off dress that I got in the boutiques January sale for £1000, I don’t think I would of planned on spending that but it was the dress I wanted, with alterations veil underwear etc it cost me about £1600 in total.

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

The budget I had in my head was £550 ish
Got mine for £525!

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I thought about £500 but spent £1195 🙈

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I can assure you wed2be is not poor quality at all. They are cheaper as they buy certain styles of dress in bulk hence why the price is able to be kept low, also they are exclusively designed for wed2be by certain designers. The it's up to you how much or how little you spend, every bride looks beautiful on their day! Have fun shopping!

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

£850 with alterations so a little over my £600 budget but so worth it for the one.

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My budget was £1200 but I got mine for £999 supposed to be £1600!

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I originally budgeted £450 but fell in love with a trunk sale dress and jacket and whittled her down to £650 (dress originally was £900 and jacket was originally £250) x

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Mine was 1500 maximum. The dress I ended up buying was 1499 plus £250 for alterations. Thankfully my mother in law chipped in £400 x

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Mine was hugely over budget, I didn’t want to spend more than £800. But with alterations it’s £1600!!!

I’m actually gutted I didn’t give the charity shops a try, as my friend got a stunning dress for £50!! Yes just £50 and yould never have ever known it as it was absolutely stunning xxx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Everyone's budget will differ, spend what feels right for you, buying the dress you feel most confident & pretty in. Oh & congrats, have an amazing day 🥂🍾

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My wonderful Nan has given me £2000 for my dress. I’ve always loved essence of Australia dresses and that’s what ive ordered its £1600 not sure on alterations etc yet 💕

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I budgeted £800, got dress, straps, underskirt and bag/box for £740 yesterday

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My budget was around 500 but fell in love with one on eBay, new with tags and got it for £27

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

There are stores where you can get the entire outfit (dress, shoes and veil) for less than £1000. I unfortunately fell in love with a dress in a different store and didn’t find any other that made me feel as beautiful as I did in this one dress. My mum was buying it and I felt so guilty but she actually upped my budget and I got the dress and veil for just under £1800.

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I didn’t have a clue what they cost but just picked my wedding dress & it was £1200 7 years ago x

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I budgeted £2000 for mine because I had something very specific in mind. I thought I'd need custom made at one point. I went to sale in a local store and found a stunning dress, only it was in red and I seriously contemplated changing the colour scheme for the wedding because it was so lovely! I asked if it came in other colours and it did. It was still less than half my budget brand new. Got my veil, underskirt, shoes etc etc later on. Didn't really stick to a budget for them because my dress cost was so low. I do wish Id splurged and gone for some Louis Vuittons, or Louboutins though seeing as I had the extra in the end. 😂 Xxx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Joanne hope wedding dress £125 was the first dress I tried and fell in love with it I didn’t have a budget xxx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Got mind from David's bridal! Fabulous prices! My dress was £280... And I paid £250 for alterations there x but I'm sure if you had alterations done elsewhere it would be less xx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Mine was meant to be 1349 for dress and 90 for veil. Ended up getting the dress and veil down to 425! And the underskirt for free :)

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I didn't really know what my budget was, I just knew I didn't have a huge amount to spend on the dress and was happy to get it online or similar to save money. I ended up buying the one I tried on in a bridal shop off the rack, so it was nearly half price. I think I paid £490 or something. My wedding is in September and I couldn't be more excited to wear it. Also the bridal shop I got it from are going to do the alterations :) xo

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I had budgeted £200-£300, however o fell in love with one in the sale for £500 from £1300. I think see what you like on, then look around in sales, and there are also discounts warehouses around xx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

£500. As I've seen a lot of dresses less than this that I'm well and truly in love with!!! No point paying more xx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

£1000 max

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My dress was £35 from chi chi London. It’s exactly what I want in terms of shape/style and fit. My friend (a dress maker) is going to customise it a bit for me to make it a one off dress.

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I personally couldn’t afford to spend a fortune.. I paid £76 🙈 xxx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

If brides want a designer dress made well but don’t want to spend the price tag they should contact local businesses that sell unworn and worn once dresses. There are people like me in other areas that offer this service

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I got mine for 399 at Wed2b

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I've known what I wanted mine to look like since I saw it in a shop window when I was 18 so I was determined to get it no matter what the price (having ended up getting it custom made for £900 which is way less than I thought it would be so having boots custom made too)

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

I plan on spending no more than £350, it's 1 dress for 1 day, the total overall wedding is pushing £12,000 🙈 .. good job I have a mortgage already or this would have been it's deposit lol xx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My budget was £800, my dress ended up being £1180... my sister picked it out and I told her it was over my budget, she made me try it on and when I fell in love with it she ended up footing the extra £400!!! 😂😂😂

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Megan Gregory when are we dress shopping for you?!xxxx

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

My sister got her wedding dress from eBay, China, about £80, it’s a risk worth taking and it turned out to be beautiful! Just order a size bigger as easy to get it altered. This is what I shall be doing 😁

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

UKbride Member 10 Feb 2020

Originally my budget was around £700. My dress was £995 but was a deal on so I had it for £895 and the veil is £195. So I didn’t go to far over budget. Good luck shopping. Find a dress you love x

UKbride Member 11 Feb 2020

My mum kindly bought my dress and she had saved up £2500, but I told her I didn’t want to spend more than £1000. I got the dress of my dreams, alterations and the shop made matching belts for my bridesmaid dresses for within my budget

UKbride Member 11 Feb 2020

UKbride Member 11 Feb 2020

I paid £50 for my dress, did all my own alterations and can't wait to wear it in june

UKbride Member 11 Feb 2020
