Confused about veils

I am at a total loss, i know i want a veil but i am so confused about all the different styles and i don't know what would be considered a reasonable price for a veil? I have a trial with my hair stylist on the 9th Feb and will need my veil for then.

I was in two mind about even having a veil so when I tried on my dress when it arrived, the lady grabbed me a handful of different types, Long short, plain and sparkly and I tried them all on to see which I liked and which went well with my dress 😊

I tried a veil on in the shop and then purchased something similar for a fraction of the price on Facebook marketplace

I bought mine when I bought my dress, she brought some in to try and I fell in love with one that had pearls in it which is the jewellery I'm wearing on the day. It was pricey but my parents are buying my dress so I thought I could treat myself to the veil x

I brought my vail on line cathedral length with lace trim for £6 just to try at my hair and make up trial and it ended up being so perfect I actually wore it on the day.
The same one brought with my dress was £200 it really is worth looking around especially if you are not sure what you want x

I borrowed mine as I didn't one want but my mum wanted me to wear one so I said I would asking as it didn't go over my face haha. So I wore it to get married then for a few photos and took it off, you can get them at lots of places but bridal shops seem to be a couple of 0s on the end purely because its a bridal shop..

All I suggest is, if you have a plain dress then get one with a few sparkles on but if you have a busy dress then get a plain one.. You will benefit from a long veil if you don't have a puffy princess dress but if you do then get a short one x

I’m using my mums veil from 25 years ago and it’s a perfect match to my dress.ive got a tiara too

I was cheeky with my veil. Bought it with my dress but it was an ex demo piece. I paid less than £40 for it and found out afterwards that what I thought were plastic beads were actually Swarovski crystals! RRP £189. Don't be afraid to have a look around for deals or ex demo pieces. 😊

I bought my veil with my dress I'm wearing a veil and a tiara I like them both, my veil was £171 it's pretty long and covering in crystals I love it

I got mine when I tried on my dress. I knew I wanted the veil to go across my face too, so that my mum could lift my veil when she gave me away. So I had a 2 tier veil, elbow length with a pearl comb. Mine wasn't cheap (around £200!), but I loved it - it was so delicate!

I had a cathedral length with Swarovski diamantes I made it with my mum, coat about £70 all in and you couldn't tell it. Xx

Wed2b veils are around £50 but they are quite rough and might not sit well. They have one called Willa which is much finer though and just one tier. It's gorgeous and will probably be mine! Or ask around your friends and see if it could be your something borrowed!

UKbride Member 27 Jan 2020

I have the bellatrix veil from wed2b it is £85, it's a fingertip veil

UKbride Member 27 Jan 2020

I borrowed my sister in laws. Maybe worth asking friends if they have one you could have as your something borrowed xx

I ordered vintage from USA just came in time

UKbride Member 27 Jan 2020

I’m planning on wearing one of my sisters veils as my something borrowed and also because my mum saw it and she’s not with us anymore.

My veil was £6 (£4 £2 postage) off wish and it's perfect. Only thing is with wish, sometimes it can take a while to arrive X

This is my post. My cousin has offered me hers. But i' unsure if the colour will be right. My mother insiats that you can't mix white and ivory. My dress and shoes are ivory. Not sure if a white veil would look terrible.
