Hi, we're getting married Aug 2020 at cambridge registry office, its a morning ceremony and then we were planning on having a picnic by the river and going punting before an early evening meal at a restaurant, its quite a casual, relaxed wedding with only 22 guests. Looking for some ideas for what we could do instead of the punting and picnic in case the weathers bad, have about 4 hours to fill between ceremony and meal

Teepee maybe so you can still enjoy a picnic, or have a bbq to?

Afternoon tea?

Afternoon tea sounds a fab idea

Cafe rouge is just a little down the road from the punts and registry office. It is quite a small one so you would have to book. I think they might have a private area. Last time I went there there was a hen do there. Their afternoon tea and well any food really is lovely! And some lovely cocktails too!

Definitely agree with the others see if you can get a afternoon tea some where. As it’s a small wedding you could probably book some where last minute if you think the weather will be bad. Xx
