Wedding insurance before you book anything! Then enjoy venue hunting

Budget, no point looking at what you cant afford and falling in love with it. Also cake people and photographers as flowers can get booked up a year in advance

I chose my theme first. Then we found everything else just fell into place naturally xxx

Set a budget! Most important thing then you won't book things out of price range.

I was always told start with the 4 key things too:
1. Someone to marry you
2. Venue
3. Catering
4. Photographer

Enjoy being engaged for a while, look around at different venues, look on Pinterest for ideas. So much can change in 3 years. Xx

Congratulations ️. You don’t need to worry about booking any thing for another year. But then you need to book venu 1st, then photographer. Everything else comes after that ️. Xx

Look around at local venues first get an idea of how much it’s going to cost you. Then work out a budget. You’ve got plenty of time to find your perfect venue. Once you’ve booked a venue. You’ll want to do the registrar/check when you can start booking them. Then photographer. Have fun and enjoy the moment!

Congratulations Enjoy being engaged first. Take a look on Pinterest for colour schemes and themes you like. Set a budget. Then look for wedding insurance and venues. Once you have your venue and date set you can go onto other things like catering, flowers, cake etc.

Decide what time of year as that will help with the type of venue and theme. Once you know when then decide where and then Pinterest will help with the rest xx

Relax and enjoy being engaged first....a wedding is part of your journey not the destination. (Then set a budget and become addicted to Pinterest for the foreseeable future 😂)

Amend your expectations slightly.. if you are too focussed on "perfect" you may find it drives you crazy when things undoubtedly hit obstacles

Budget. Look ideas online (don't waste money on magazines) And discuss what is a must have, what is a would like and what is not required.

Keep it as relaxed as possible. I knew I wanted soft country colours as I was getti g married in a little village. Didn't have anything particular in mind. Just looked on pintrest and Internet and it all fell into place. And don't get yourself into debt over it. You can have a beautiful happy day without taking out a mortgage x

Enjoy being engaged. You have plenty of time to plan later. Never hurts to start saving though.

I downloaded an app called Bridebook, it’s free and helps you find local venues and vendors and you can all create and export your guest list. As well as using the budget and checklist function. Happy wedding planning!

1) Make a budget
2)decide on your bridal party
3) Rough estimate your guest list
4) choose a theme and colour scheme
5) look at venues
6) Book and put deposit on Ceremony/Reception
7) Send out your save the dates
8. ask your bridal party members to be in ‘the party’ officially
9) contact, start looking at and start putting down deposits on:
-decorators
-flowers
-outfits (dress, groom, groomsmen, bridesmaids etc)
-entertainment
-cake
-hair and makeup artists (good ones need bookings to be made well in advance)
-caterers (if not included in a reception package)
-celebrant or priest etc (whoever is marrying you!)
-Added extras
10) enjoy and relax until the nitty gritty decisions need to be made (I.e...accessories, table favours, seating plans etc)

Hope that helps! It’s fresh on my mind as I just got married in August!
