What is your Dress Budget? And who's paying for it? My parents have offered to pay for my dress and they've given me a £2k budget, however I'm no way wanting to spend that much. The dress I have my eye on is £675 from Wed2b.
My parents paid for mine. I got mine from wed2be for around the same price. They have beautiful dresses.
I got mine from wed2be , go & try on lots of different ones until you find the one , think mine was £449 and I felt a million dollars in it
The cost of the dress is irrelevant really, as long as you love the dress and it makes you happy does it matter if it costs £500 or £5000. Xx
My budget was £600. I was paying for it myself but in the end my mum helped me out. My dress was £1200 reduce to £500 in a clearance sale in a bridal shop and I’m so in love with it.
Budget was £1500 but spending less than £800 incl accessories, paid myself
Mine was £1200.it wasn't my intention to spend that much at all but I tried it on and fell in love my nan paid for kt6
My dress was half price. It was originally £1000 but I payed £637. Which was alright 👍🏾
I have had to have some alterations to mine, as I’ve lost weight, so take that in to consideration also! My dress was on sale for £400 and I love it xxx
£600 I paid myself
My parents bought mine, it came from wed2b. With the dress, extra bits and the storage box it came to £835
I paid for my own and it was only £199, my day was last friday
Mine was 140
I aimed to only spend a couple of hundred, my mum wanted to buy my dress, she never gave me a budget, but she knew I'd be sensible, in the end my dress was £1299, reduced to £799, I place a £500 budget, the manager of the store sold it to me for £500. I then purchased some straps from wish for £39, this made the keyhole look at the back. I went to Your Wedding Shop in the West Midlands xx
can get shoes, veil, undies and jewellery too with the rest of the budget lol x
Is that with added items such as veil, jewellery, tiara or hairpiece and alterarions?
If you love the dress then get it, you won't remember the money, you'll remember how you felt on the day in it x
My dress was £650 and my parents are paying for it
I got my dress from wed2b for £399😊
im getting married for the second time and for the last time.. But after my first wedding and spending the ridiculous amount of money on my dress among other things the day after it i was like there was really no need for that, of course you should do whatever you want its your day, But this time my budget is £400
My parents are paying for my wedding so I don’t expect anything else from them my budget is £700 for a dress I’m sure il go other that as I’ve seen so many I love
Gave myself a budget of £1500, but my dress, veil, underskirt all came in at about half of that. I would have regretted paying anymore now. I loved my dress and everyone said how beautiful it was.
I plan on going to Wed2B I have put aside £1000 for dress shoes and veil etc. I’m currently paying for it myself 🙂
I bought my dress off ebay ex sample dress you can get a lovely dress at a fraction of the price try ex sample shops too
Mine was £2000 got a discount because it’s on the street where my fiancé works. Now having a bespoke veil made to go with it.
My dress cost £600 from wed2b ... my dad paid £450 towards it. I dont believe in paying thousands on a dress you'll wear for 12 hours. X
I,m wearing my mum's dress x
My dress was an ex-sample dress and cost £125, as long as you look in the mirror and have that 'disney princess' moment I don't think price matters, you'll see your dress and just know it's the one ️
I went to a bridal room and was trying on dresses in excess of £1000 but didn’t find the one, we went to wed2b for a look and I came away with a dress, cathedral veil, diamanté belt, hoop and storage box for around £850 and I love it 🥰
Mine is an ex sample for £99 and I absolutely love it 🥰🥰
£105 from Chichi London. They have some really pretty ones x
I spent £20 🙂 eBay
I honestly don't think the price counts cause u could find a wedding dress for 2000 n hate it n u could find one for 100 and love it xx
I spent £150 at JJs House. No way was I spending more than £200 on a dress I was only going to wear once. But I didn't want to hire, as it's something I would like to keep.
I think whatever dress makes you happy get. I spent well over the budget I had been given from my parents so I’ll pay for the extra myself. But if it’s cheaper then all the better you also need shoes accessories and a veil so you can use that money for those too if they are willing to gift you that
My dress was £400 second hand. My Mum and Dad paid for my dress and I bought a belt, hair comb and crystal bolero for about £150. I used my Mum's veil from when she got married You can get some amazing dresses second hand and you can add accessories to make the dress look different xx
This was my dress and only cost £90🥰 from amazon
Got mine custom made from China. Was just over £100.
I got my dress veil and storage from Wed 2 be for just over £700 and it's beautiful
Got mine from wed2b, as long as you love it, it doesnt matter :)
Mam and dad paid for mine, got 2 sample dresses from House of Moshki head office. Both reduced from £2k each to £800 each. One for the day, one for the night. Have given them back to my mam to sell and she can have herself a little holiday with the money she gets back x
I'd get the wed2b dress / veil/ alterations then spend the rest on the honeymoon
My nana offered me 1k but I'd feel guilty taking it plus one dress I had my eye on was bout the same price wise I'd be tempted to ask fam who want to put money towards the dress especially if your dress will come no where near the upper end of the budget just ask them if they'd like to put it towards the wedding as a whole?
Not exactly a great picture but mine was an ex sample and i only paid £50 for the dress and then bought the veil from Amazon, we were on a very tight budget but I absolutely loved my dress
I paid for my dress myself which cost me £500 with an extra £80 for a few alterations I wanted. Then I Spent £30 on shoes, jewellery and a veil
Have a look at The Bridal Barn. Jane's dresses are beautiful and a fraction of the boutique cost! I got a beautiful Maggie Sottero from her.
Mine cost me 50 pounds second hand designer dress in very good condition of here on market place i found the desgin i wanted in a bridal shop and searched for it 😁
I bought mine on Stillwhite.co.uk for about £600 then paid just over £100 for alterations. Got a veil on eBay for £11 and paid £30 for shoes. My husband left me a box at my mums to open on our wedding day which was earrings to wear on the day. Best day ever ❤️
Good luck to you xx
My dress cost £1,500 and I paid for it. Also £375.00 in alterations
Paying myself, mine is Badgley Mishka at about £1700. Only able to due to selling my dad's house after he passed last year otherwise would've likely been a lot less
Mine cost 199 in the sale and is stunning took my mum with me as I always said I wanted strapless and either a princess's or a line ivve ended up with a champagne coloured sleeved mermaid dress and it looks amazing xx
I had a £1000 budget money left for my from my nanna and I wanted to get everything dress shoes veil tiara however I've had 30 dresses in all price ranges and over budget and still no look but every shop I've been in has said about £300 is needed for alterations x
I budgeted £1000 for everything, including alterations, accesories, hair piece, shoes, underwear etc I found my dress in the sale and all of that came to £700 in the end X
I paid £300 on Ebay and then £79 for a dry clean. My friend very kindly did the alterations as her gift to me so that saved me from extra costs. I also bought my irregular choice shoes on Ebay (new) for £35. My husband's suit and shoes cost more 😂
My dress was 700 from wed4less. I love it
I got my dress and two bridesmaids dresses from Lindy Bop (including petticoats) for a measly £80! Once we had our hair and make-up done, we felt like superstars.
I got mine from wed2be and I cannot recommend enough. Had such a wonderful experience with amazing staff that made me feel good. Got the bridesmaids dresses from there as well
With my dress, shoes, veil and tiara I spent £1800 and I paid for that myself. I saved up for it before hand as I wanted to be able to get exactly what I wanted.
My dress was £1600 but had 10% off so was £1440. My veil was supposed to be £280 but I got it from the same bridal store as my dress so I got half off any accessories; so came to £140. My shoes were £40, headpiece £40 and alterations came to just over £100. I spent way more than I expected on everything but loved them all.
Don't compare yourself to others everyone has different budgets. Go with what you believe is best for you. X I tried so many dresses on in different shops and most of the ones I loved were all around the same price figure. I tried before looking at price tags as I didn't want this to sway me. Ive paid £1360 just for my dress more than I wanted to but I jus didn't feel comfortable in any of the others. So do what's best for you xx
My father in law lent me the money for my dress £850 and I paid him back.
Mine was only £170. 😊
Paying for my own dress was £1300 xx
My Maggie Sottaro dress was £650 in a trunk sale at a local bridal shop in my village and I paid for it myself 😁 xx
Much better idea go with the one you want we don’t wear them long enough my budget was £500 as I wanted to get my car re sprayed so it could be perfect fir our wedding ( we had car theme ) but I got it bit lower in end for cash but my parents paid for it in end but I went for something slightly different too s red dress xx
Wow that's a big budget! Mine is a bridesmaids dress and it cost £180 from my local bridal shop. I bought it coz I loved it, but the price tag is a bonus. Mum paid for it, as she always wanted to buy my wedding dress. The things i could buy for £2000 though 😮
That's fantastic. Don't feel like you have to give up the dress you love based purely on budget. Bear in mind alterations and accessories, maybe even some posh undies and shoes, etc and it all adds up. My nan bought my veil because I took her to the shop for a try on and I said I loved it. Only realized after how much that would've cost me, which was more than I realised lol. X
I paid £129 off Amazon plus £20 p&p fell in love with the style and looked for a good deal. I'm still needing slight adjustment to it (taken up a little) but all in all its wonderful for me xx
Bettwen£500 £600 then I am donation to sand's
Mine was £1600 without alterations etc but if it’s the dress it’s the dress it wouldn’t of mattered if it was £500 or £1500 all the mattered was it was the one xxx
£300 and i’m paying for it myself
I got my dress in a sale in my local bridal shop down from £2000 to £300 because it had been used in a photo shoot so they dropped the price i fell in love as soon as i saw it i couldnt possibly spend £2000 on a dress
I paid for my own and it was reduced to 800 then had to be altered. I was pleased with it though.
Good on you. You really don’t need to spend huge amounts to find a beautiful dress. Mine was £500 from wed2b and I was really impressed with the quality. I looked around a higher end boutique and really couldn’t tell the difference in quality.
Mine was from wed2b.... £700! No need to spend a ridiculous amount
I got my dress on sale for £400. My partner paid for mine, and il be paying for his suit! Our budget was £300 but I loved this dress so he let me off
Wow lucky you
my budget in 1996 was 2000 but got a dress for 1600 but the woman in the shop said hang fire this is going in the sale tomorrow for 500.. we will put it right to the back so no one will see it lol..
My budget was £2000 ended up spending £3000 altogether (alterations and the accessories) but it was my dream dress and I have no regrets. Xx
The cost of the dress doesn’t matter if it’s £50 or £5000. As long as you love it that’s all that matters. It’s your day after all
Mine was made for me by a lady on Etsy for £250
My mum paid for my dress and it was £1900 and £250 for alterations. It was hand beaded and covered in Swarovski...so understable for the price. I set out in my mind that wed2be was for me and i would never want to spend that sort of cash on a dress. Tried on my dream dress in a gorgeous boutique, then went to wed2be and found the quality lacking. Thats just my personal preference though! My mum loved my dress and could see how different i felt in it compared to the wed2be ones. So for me, the money was worth it. Everyone said how incredible it was!
Got mine from purple paradise collection by Barbara spice was on sale £150 instead of £700 I think
Have a look at JJs House, dresses at a fraction of the cost of boutiques and can be made to custom size
And she looked pretty stunning in it !
I fell in love with my dress before setting a budget. Of course it was £1600!!😱 too late I had to have it. But no regrets but would suggest setting a limit first before even window shopping just in case😉
Got my dress from wed 2b and had complements from three boutiques (who allowed me to take it in to try with my bridesmaids trying on dresses). They wanted to know the designer and where I had purchased. I then made my cathedral veil with Swarovski Crystal's. Both drss and veil have been taken to a professional wedding dress cleaner, he was also impressed with the quality of stitching and the dress as a whole. He was surprised when my mum said we had made the veil. Just because it costs a fortune, doesn't mean it's better quality. Try lots of different stuff xx
I was prepared to pay for my dress by myself and budgeted £1000 for the dress
The one I ended up with was £955 I loved it
My mum offered to pay for it when it came down to it
I paid £830 at wed 2 b including storage box.. I paid 500 and my nan paid the rest. Xx
I got my dress off eBay for £100 everyone commented on it and I loved it it’s all personal choice
I got my dress, Vail and Bolairo from Wed2b for £450, my mother had offered to help but I bought it on my own.
My nan payed for mine it is beautiful it was in a sale we got it for 400 was 800 from delphine
My mum is paying. If bought from a shop she gave me an £800 budget, cause alterations would probably be needed on top. We later decided to have it specially made so the budget went up to £1100. But i now have to buy my own accessories.
I’d set myself a budget of £750 but when I found my dress I just couldn’t see myself in anything else so my dress is costing 3k with tiara, veil and alterations x
I bought my dress it was just under £400 and then a bit more with veil and underskirt. It was all from wed2b hinckley. I don't have my mum or a nan anymore but am sure they would have contributed to it without me even asking
I've found my dress for £160 ☺
