Really cant make my mind up with what colour theme to go with . How does everyone decide?
I chose ivory and burgundy cos it's Classy and nice tbh I just plucked it out the air haha xx
I picked royal blue xx
We're going with navy blue because my engagement ring is sapphire xx
My grandad passed a couple of years ago, his favourite colour was blue. So we've gone for a blue led colour scheme
I chose my favourite colour 🙂 which is grey x
I let my bridesmaids decide on what colour dresses they wanted and that is now the colour theme. Navy and ivory.
I saw some dresses for my flower girls which I loved which were light blue so chose that for my colour x
I couldn't decide, when I picked my dress it fell in place. My dress is blush with dusky rose sash so dusky rose and ivory is my theme. Think also time of year dictates. I'm getting married in November so paler colours I thought wouldn't be right. Xx
I picked my flowers first and then choose my colour. My fave flowers are sunflowers so I had all different shades of yellow x
I decided on a colour theme when we got engaged 2 years later the colour scheme sort of went out the window when I found bridesmaid dresses I loved
I didn’t really think about it, I knew I wanted a white dress and I thought silver would look lovely with it. Never thought about any other colours
I picked my favourite colour green but decide on the shade after I picked my dress and found the colour scheme on Pinterest, sage and blush x
I chose poppy red which was the colour that suited all my bridesmaids. Good luck x
My man loved the navy suit and it went from there... I was torn between navy, burgundy and grey but he did look fit in the navy so navy it was...
I chose our colours dusky pink and mocha grey and then found my venue and the colour scheme went out the window... as soon as we saw the venue we both knew exactly what we wanted and changed it - can’t say too much as have a friend on here who will be coming to the wedding and we want to keep some hints a secret lol
We went for a silver grey as myself and partner wear a lot of black and grey. It's what he is comfortable in, and decorations will help to bring in colour!
We have Red for Liverpool but am strugling to find bridesmaid dress that colour, which is hard.
I had a look around on pinterest to get ideas. In the end i loved pink and grey colours so i am going with that. Its a classic but still modern.
I was wearing royal blue when my partner proposed and he had grey on ...so voila!
I changed my mind once I saw the venue then changed it again when I struggled to find decorations matching the colour scheme.
Our venue is amongst woodland and waterways so we have greens and blues.
Tbh i dont know how i did, i made sure my hubby was involved all the time so it was our wedding not just mine lol but we had teal, slight disney theme too but my partner liked the colour too and it made my day elegant i think. Have fun planning xx
Get H2B to decide on suit colour and go from there.
We knew we wanted a starry night theme so we have gone for navy and silver xx
I went suit shopping with hubby & we really liked a royal blue suit so went with that & did baby blue bridesmaids etc i would say go with the flow don’t be too fixed on colours as the smallest thing can change your mind x
Royal blue and yellow
I haven't really got 'theme' colours per say. Our weddings James Bond theme so bmaids and flower girls are in black and the table settings are red to go with a kinda casino/card suit themed idea.
Green because our surname will be GREEN 🌿
I just used my favourite colour. Seemed logical to me. Luckily it’s my husbands favourite colour too
I just wanted bright colours with sunflowers! On the day the flower lady said how lovely it was to work with brights!
We are having a Winter White Wedding, so the colours we have gone for is white/Silver and all shades of Grey with a hint of cream dotted in amongst venue decorations to just give it a lift. x
Coffee and cream for me
My mother did all of the designing of the day as a surprise it was all based around my dress ❤️
I picked my favourite colour which is red. I’ve had various comments, some negative saying it’s cheesy and some positive saying it’s nice to have a bright colour. X
That was my husbands input, he chose blue, pompey colours 😊
I went black and White after my other half football team xx
I just knew ️
I made a pale blue dress as both my grandmothers got married in blue, and everything worked around that. it was summer though so wanted the flowers to warm it a bit as I could easily have gone for greys and silvers but thought it would have been too icy. Ended up going with champagnes and pale pinks in my bouquets and flowers to warm it up but didnt want strong colours as it could look tacky. I had no bridesmaids so I didn't have to make decisions about dresses to match, but the men were in navy suits with slightly bluey silver ties and my mum had a beautiful pale pink and peach dress which was perfect. My maiden name is Johnston so I got my brother (our witness) an ancient Johnston tartan bowtie which also worked with the colours. Represent
We had claret as we were having a Christmas Wedding. It was perfect for us. ️
Ours is November 2020..... we're hoping for burgundy and blush colour scheme, just need to sort bridesmaids and suits..... Pinterest is a fab help lol
Green white and gold if I can get away with it. Seems logical as they're my favourite colours and my football teams colours too
Kilt colour made decision red white and black
Think about colours that'll go with the season or pick fave colours!
We're having mint green and silver for the colour theme. The bridesmaid dresses look beautiful in the mint xx
We wanted bright autumnal colours, as we are getting married on 30th November in Bolton and figured everyone would need a bright theme to cheer them up!!
Mine and his favourite colours: navy blue and burgundy red 🙂 added white for wedding to soften it a bit
As a kid i was convinced i would have dark red and cream then i realised EVERYONE has that. My favourite colour is pink but i thought that would be cliche and pink doesn't suit everyone. So i chose my second favourite colour which is purple and ny fiance's favourite colour is turquoise.
Our favourite colours are orange & purple, so that was nice & easy! 🧡💜
We've gone through so oooo many colour changes, we started with purple and turquoise, then ice blue and white, pastels, yellow and grey, sky blue and dark grey, now we are on a Japanese theme so thinking sakura pink and grey
We’re totally not ‘normal’, we like the darker side of life, so it couldn’t have been anything else but black and red theme 😂. My dress is being made for me (in black 😁).
I didn’t decide! I went rainbow!
Originally I chose pinks but after a few weeks realised that wasn't very 'us' so we had another think and have changed to green somewhere between mint/sage/olive and as a pop of colour decided on sunflowers x
My colours were burgandy and cream /white
And the other pic
I couldn’t decide then went into a bridal shop and saw this dress and just fell in love with the colour for a summer wedding x
#seagreen
My favourite colour is green and I like jewel tones. I also knew I wanted a HP/LOTR based theme and I really like the rustic themed wedding pictures I found on pinterest. So Slytherin green from HP and rustic style tones from LOTR (eg ivory, ceeam, grey, hessian). I'm also thinking of succulents rather than flowers as my partner is allergic so colours that fit with that. Accents will be the Slytheirn green/emerald colour.
I’m doing pastel colours because when we get married it’s gonna be warm
Keep it simple go with your favourite colours I love pink so it's ivory n pink simple!
I'm having Red and black as they are my fave, alongside white obviously for dresses and table clothes etc xx
I thought I wanted certain colours, got my bridesmaids to try some dresses on and we all agreed none of the colours I had picked were right.. We ended up going with a dark plum/bergundy colour, plus my hair is red so it ended up matching quite well! 😂
Demi Moffat we are meant to have a colour theme?
Me and my h2b are going for a deadpool theme!! Black and red basically
I always wanted red and white (red for love ) but H2B wanted blue so give him a couple of choices luckily he picked the right one Haha royal blue x
Look in your wardrobes, which colours appear most often? Choose from that selection and then find a colour that complements it
Spring wedding and from looking online at flowers and things I liked I narrowed it to dusky pink or sage green. Hubby and Sis (maid of honour) both thought the pink would be more romantic so went with that.
Mine was blush/pink, red and white. White because it is the traditional colour, red is my husbands fabourite colour and pink is mine. I didn't have loads of decoration and we didn't have flower centre pieces so there wasn't too much that depended on our colour scheme
I was unsure what colour to start with but then i thought about what colours I liked and if my bridesmaids wouldn't look pale etc. We had deep purple bridesmaids dresses and my husband and grooms party had a deep purple tie. Go with your instincts and have a play. - I did at 1 point think about each bridesmaid in a different coloured dress.
