You can definitely choose, and your registrar ought to be able to advise on where they can go in the ceremony.

In our booklet all the required parts were highlighted I dont know if that's the same but they go over it all with you at the appointment so dont worry x

As long as they aren't religious then have whatever you want! X

When I got married the first time I chose to keep the ceremony short and sweet as I was 7 months pregnant at the time and had bad baby brain, also chose not to do poems etc even the vows were short as all was said is “I will”. Hope this helps.

It should say on your forms. We are having at the beginning and near the end. I've some good ones on Pinterest nothing too long. They say as long as it has nothing religious in it if you are having a civil ceremony x

I hate the whole poem and reading thing... I don’t think other people can describe your relationship or your love. If you have to try and define it in such a small way when the love you should have for each other should be bigger then it’s just not right.

We had 3 short readings, a sensible one, a loving one and a funny one, you can find loads on Pinterest and google but it’s entirely down to what you want 😁
