Something old

Hi, my mum has leant me an old ring as my ‘something old’. I don’t want to wear any rings apart from engagement ring. It’s too big to wear on chain around neck. Has anyone else had a ring they’ve had sewn into dress or incorporated into flowers?? Thanks x

Possibly wear on a chain as a necklace if fits in with your look?

You could thread it onto a ribbon and use that to incorporate it into the bouquet tie? I've seen it done with charms.

Put it on a piece of ribbon and tie around your bouquet. Or attach it to your garter. Or see it into the hem or your dress.

You could have it woven into your bouquet. I had my mother-in-law’s brooch woven into my wedding bouquet- I had bought her it for her 80th birthday and she sadly passed away a year later. I wanted to remember her on our wedding day xxx

I had a locket incorporated into my flowers that was worn by my husbands Nanna who we sadly lost before the wedding.

Use hairpins and attach it in your hair or thread a bobble through the middle and use as a hairtie xx

I had each of my (late) grandmothers' wedding rings attached to my bouquet with a ribbon - tied v securely to make sure they were safe! They were my 'something old' & 'something borrowed' - It was a lovely touch, and a talking point with some of the family.

Are you throwing your flowers? Might not be good idea to sew it in to flowers x what about sewing it in to a part of your dress so it's not visible x

I wore two rings on my right hand and tied my engagement ring into my bouquet so that I had it with me when I was walking down the aisle. Then as soon as the ceremony was over I put it back on next to my new wedding band!

Tie it round your ankle? I had a nice brooch thing that was on the underside of my dress
