We're getting married in May 2020 and we've just ordered our wedding rings... I'm starting to think we've ordered them too early. Should we cancel the order and look to get them closer to the date??
It depends on you, don't worry if you order the rings a little early the earlier the better then you can make sure you have time for alterations and you can keep them safe until the wedding day. That's what I think would be good. :)
We're not marrying til 2021 and we both have our wedding rings already! I don't think it really matters when you get them. We did so because we new we could afford it at that point.
We got ours 2 months before we got married, don’t think it matters really!
I work in jewellery and gold is at a very good price so no buying now is good
As long as you love what you have picked .
And 're try them on around 6 weeks before the wedding .
Then take them to your jewellers if they do need any alterations
Were getting married in June 2020 and have ordered ours we thought we would get as much done as we can for less stress and can pay for it all over a longer amount of time enjoy it all knowing you can take your time 🥰
Me and my partner ordered ours a year and a bit in advance. He tried it on again a month before the wedding and it didn’t fit anymore!!!! Luckily the jewellers changed it for us but it was stressful so be careful xx
We are getting Married on Sunday 29.03.2020 & we are purchasing ours next Wednesday x
I don't think it matters to be honest. We get married this October and got our rings last summer, we found ones we really liked and worried if we left it we wouldn't find ones we liked as much nearer the time. Plus side means now we don't have to worry about the cost for them as all done
We get married june 2020 and got ours last year with insurance x
If you find ones you like not too early. We had seen ours last year but only got them in Jan. For May this year.
We are getting married in October and picking our rings a few weeks before.
We were told not to order our rings until 6months before, because if you lose (or gain) weight. They possibly won't fit and some jewellers will refuse to swap them if it's been a long time since you bought them. Also you should ideally get your ring finger measured when your warm as fingers swell with the heat. If you've had them fit to your "winter" fingers they may not fit your "summer" fingers xx
It would only be too early if either of you are planning on losing a significant amount of weight and even then it would be a simple alteration so don't worry! If you've found rings you like then you may as well get them although I would advise insuring them if they are of high value.
Plus it's one less thing to pay for just prior to the wedding! :-)
If they are what you want get them. It's another job done then!
Oh crap, I forgot all about rings... Haribo it is. Thanks for the reminder. Luckily have couple of months b4 wedding... Ooops, could have been interesting hehe
We’re planning on getting ours ASAP, and we get married October this year, it’s only too early if you plan to lose loads of weight xx
We getting married Nov 2020, we already have rings and loads of other stuff sorted, gives us more time to pay it all off 😊
Our wedding rings were one of the first few things we sorted as we met the guy at a wedding fayre not long after we got engaged. We got ours custom made and ordered just short of two years in advance because we knew we wanted him to make them. We paid a deposit and didn’t need to pay the rest until we picked them up so gave us plenty of time to save for them.
We’re getting married in May this year and only just got them.
I get married Aug 2020 and we’ve got my ring already. My OH is having a custom made one
We getting married Nov 2020, we already have rings and loads of other stuff sorted, gives us more time to pay it all off 😊
We get married March 2021 and we've ordered ours. I wanted to get stuff now so I just have to save for the big stuff xx
I get married may 2020 and we have ours x
I'm getting married 2021 and have my ring
We bought ours last weekend and get married 27th April this year. I felt we left it late but I had our first baby 7 weeks ago so things were put on hold a little 🙈 mad rush to get everything sorted now 😂
We ordered ours 4 weeks before the date 😂😂
I personally do not think it matters
We ordered our last year and we get married this May I think you will be fine
We are getting married in April 2020 and already have ours, it was one of the first things we sorted as we didn't want to compromise on them so rather get the expense out the way early on, x
Getting married October 2020 and our rings are paid for already, we found rings that fit well and we loved so we got them
It probably doesn’t matter, but we have only just thought about ours and are getting married in May!!
I’m getting married in August 2020 and I just ordered ours yesterday!
Not too early if you know what you want!
I think we ordered ours around 15months prior to getting married
Time to pay them off etc.
We only went shopping for rings 3 weeks before our wedding. Nearly forgot only took 20 mins and found perfect ones. I don't think it matters how early you get them.
I ordered mine in January and we get married July 2020. The jeweller offers a year to pay for them and they will then let us take them away. We saw them over a year ago so I was sure it was what we wanted. It’s never too early. X

I always thought the reason you hold off on buying rings was so that you know they’re gonna for you 😂
I bought mine last month and I'm.not getting married July 2020 so it should be fine xxx
I had mine made from my grandma's, nanna's and my mum's jewelry. It only took 3 weeks. Don't think it really matters as long as you've got them for the day xjx
Our wedding is booked for November this year and we bought our rings in October 2017. Never too early x
I get married Aug 2020 got mine in Jan sales this year saved alot of money
