I am wanting to hire my dress rather than buy it. We are trying to keeping the cost down for our wedding. Will most bridal boutiques allow hire? Thank you so much for your help xx

I think youll struggle to find a place that hires nowadays! I got my dress from an independent lady she hires and sells - i got mine in sale so was actually cheaper than hiring x

Look on eBay or preloved :)
I got mine for £50, it was one that people tried on in the shop and they weren't running that style any more.
Even if you go a bit more expensive, you can always sell it on afterwards and make a lot of your money back :)

the majority of bridal stores won't hire out their dresses, I've worked in and managed quite a few - there are a few places that do hire out wedding dresses though, a google search should open up options in your area, you can also get some amazing bargains in off the rack sales and charity shop bridal stores!

I've previously worked in a bridal boutique and I've never heard of any bridal boutique hiring out wedding dresses. Wedding dresses are altered to fit each individual and the cost of cleaning each dress after every hire just wouldn't be cost effective for most businesses.
I'd second what the other ladies have said and go for a preloved dress. You can always customise any dress, buy Swarovski crystals and pearls which really aren't expensive and sew them to your dress.
I bought my wedding dress from Wed2b, it cost £399, but they have dresses much cheaper than that. Good luck finding your dress x

As Lorraine said a preloved dress can be made into something totally unique. I'm a dressmakers and have revamped quite a few second hand gowns and the bride's were very happy with the outcome. Just make sure the dressmakers you use, knows what she is doing.

What size and style are you after. I have a dress and it seems such a shame keeping it in the wardrobe.
