We didn't get it, and fortunately didn't need it. There are A LOT of terms and conditions with it. A LOT of eventualities that aren't covered by it. Not trying to put you off, just before you get it read their polices word for word so you're not disappointed if something does go wrong and they don't cover it. I work in insurance (not wedding) so I always recommend it. But just make sure you know what you're buying before you do x

We didn’t get it but all of the expensive stuff I paid on credit card. For example the venue, the entertainment package, the room decor package, the wedding cake. Paid it straight off however your credit card covers you if someone goes bust etc. We were fortunate the day went without a hitch. Or apart from I forgot to practise a first dance and almost forgot to tell the DJ which song we had chosen good luck for your perfect day

Does it insure against the handsome prince turning into a toad after you marry him.

Yes yes yes! It's so important. As a wedding coordinator i always advised my couples to take out insurance and they really did. They often thought I was suggesting they would split up but I had couples who were made redundant (so couldn't afford to get married), someones dad died a few weeks before the wedding and another groom broke his legs a few weeks. It even covers you if one of your suppliers goes bust or damages your wedding dress for example. You just never know why you might need to cancel and you could lose thousands and thousands.

Don’t go to Debenhams as I have a bad feeling about them going the same way Frasers did. John Lewis is where I got mine. I’d say wedding insurance is important.
