We did ours a year ago this month, getting married 1st June this year. Just doing our invites this month

We did ours straight away which was about 22 months in advance, the earlier the better I think x

I sent mine out in December and I’m getting married Nov 2019. Wanted to wait until the month had passed so people didn’t think that was their invite and turned up a year early.

Were not doing save the dates as its just more cost. We will just be sending out invites 6-9months before to give people the opportunity to respond.

I send mine out in October 2018 getting married June 2019. Giving everybody a deadline to reply by. I will chase people once then unfortunately they will be off list. I need to know numbers in plenty of time for numbers of catering and how much I will still need to find to pay for it (this is invites for evening party also). Ceremony is small registrars affair and all my guests for this have confirmed.

I think the earlier the better- it makes it more likely that people will not already have something going on

I getting married May 2020 and we're aiming to send ours out by may this year. It gives people a years notice, and then we'll send the invites out in January next year.

I sent mine about a year before. I think too early and people will just forget! Xx

I’m getting married August 2020 and sent the save the dates in December and sending invites December 2019 due to it being school holidays. As it’s not school holidays then I would send them in the next couple of months,

We are getting Married in Feb 2020. I'm sending ours out in the next couple of weeks. (My aim was 1 Year for Save The Dates, 6 Months Invites) xx

It all depends on how far afield your guests are coming from, whether they will need to book hotels and whether or not it’s in school holidays. We did ours just over a year in advance as we had guests coming from all over. Any earlier and sometimes people forget! Also FYI check when your venue needs to have your final numbers as that might impact when you send your full invites out x

Maybe a stupid question but who do you send the save the dates to? We seem to have a difference of opinion on this x

Im getting married in October 2019 so I'm looking to do mine as soon as I've booked the registrar, cos mine is in school holidays so I don't want them to book holidays....so mine will be 10 months in advance...

About a year for Save The Dates and 6-7 months for invitations depending on whether you need menu choices or just attendance numbers back.
