Go traditional sugared almonds. You can buy them by the kilo and put them into little organza bags you get off eBay.

We did heart shaped tea strainers with test tubes of tea for everyone and these were also people's place settings as I'd tied them together and added a wee leaf with each guest's name on. Everyone also got a framed silhouette of themselves as we had a silhouette artist for entertainment so it doubled as entertainment and a favour really.

Our place names also doubled as our favour. We had magnets made in our theme. Wasn't overly expensive either but definitely cheaper than doing it separately!!

I did little organza sweet bags, ordered sweets from Amazon and the bags from eBay, I had 120 day guests and it cost me about £80 in total. I had 5 different things in the bag- lotus biscuit, love hearts, lolly, fruit chews and I can't remember the last thing I also did mason jars with straws from Wilko's that were used for the welcome drink but the venue decided to wash them all before anyone got to keep them

Not doing boxes (make two but decorate or use pretty card for lid) but baskets type thing (only because other half bought me sizzix machine so bought a die cut )for the favour instead.

We did the traditional sugared almonds for the ladies in organza bags and a wrist band, pin and trolley disc in aid of prostate cancer for the men (my husband had been diagnosed 18 months before we married). Feedback we got from male guests was very positive as it was something they wouldn’t normally talk about.

We got bags of chocolate coins in the sale and will stick a coin on a piece of card with 'for richer for poorer' and our wedding date on it. Cost about £5 for the coins (with loads of extras in case!) And the card we already have but Tesco sell packs for a pound or two. All the favours will be less than £10 👍

We did charity pins from World Animal Protection. Cost £2 each and come on a placecard style cardboard backing and the pin itself is beautiful. No guest left theirs on the table which is what usually happens to sweets etc. and everyone can enjoy them regardless of dietary requirements. Great favour and a great cause - win-win!

We.have bought stickers online to wrap around the jar and little stickers to go onthe love hearts with our wedding date etc on to make them more weddingy. Still works out cheaper than buying favours and we can alter the contents of the jars for food allergies etc x
