Has anyone gotten wedding insurance? I’m looking into it but just want to know if it’s worth it and around how much I should be paying? TIA x

Yes. Do it. It's a lot of money to lose if something goes wrong. I think we paid about 70 quid, but the price goes up the more expensive your wedding is. Keep in mind that, if you are having a marquee, it isn't usually included in the standard policy, you will have to add it on as an extra :)

We chose Debenhams, luckily we didn't have to use them to claim for anything but it was worth the £80 just for peace of mind incase the worst happened X

Get it. It's anywhere between 30 and 120 quid depending on the cost of your wedding. It's a no brainer, if one thing goes wrong you will have made your money back. And you will not know until the wedding is over if you need to claim nothing or something in the region of hundreds or even thousands. It's a piece of mind as well

We used Debenhams. After getting a Debenhams voucher and buying it through Topcashback (sign up and use it when buying stuff, we've made over £400 in less than 2 years) it was actually the cheapest of all of them. When we compared their cover to everyone else's, they offered more cover and better cover than other policies. It covers failure of supplier as well as damage and theft (imagine your gigs getting stolen on the day or your car/photographer not turning up and you needing to find someone within hours and pay a premium for doing so, or your venue has a flood or goes into administration and you need to find a new venue at short notice). It's such a small amount of money for peace of mind.

We've got ours through debenhams, and got a £10 gift card. They do more expensive ones depending on the wedding cost and if you want marquee coverage x

I paid about £70. I don’t know how much your wedding costs but it’s a no- brainer. If anything goes wrong, photographer gets sick, florist doesn’t turn up, hotel floods the night before or someone dies... etc etc. I used Debenhams.

We bought it for peace of mind. Paid £37 but it does depend on the overall cost of your wedding

Do it! Our wedding venue got shut down and we’d have lost a lot of money if we hadn’t had insurance x

A quick question, can you get wessing insurance not things you have already paid for? Thanks x

Yeah I would. It was the 1 thing most of our married friends mentioned to us as it didn't even cross our minds. There are comparison sites if you Google it some are really cheap as others have said it depends on the expensive of your wedding. X

Yes, we went with WeddingPlan and got a really cheap deal for the platinum cover. Just means you’re covered 🙂

We got ours from Debenhams for £100 (drop in the ocean when you think about other costs involved in wedding planning). Luckily we didn't have to use it but gave us peace of mind.

When is the ideal time to purchase it. ? I’m at the first stages of my wedding planning journey and will be looking at putting deposits down to secure church and venue etc in the new year x
