Has anyone ever used round tables as the top table? We’re having an informal wedding so I’d prefer not to use the traditional style. Any pics would be great x

No pics as our wedding isn’t until Feb, but we are doing round tables for everyone including the ‘top table’ to keep it more informal, I think it’s a nice idea x

We just had our wedding and had round tables, ours was at the front of the room by the stage, with our groomsmen and bridesmaids, then set back a little bit from ours but in a half circle were our parents' tables and behind that friends tables, it worked really well

I don't have any pictures but my brother and sis in law had their round "top" table with their best woman/man and their partners. Ibthought it was a nice change. I hate the thought of being on display on a long top table at my wedding but my fiance wants to do it

All this works very well xxx it's not a problem for catering and is nice to have a conversation rather than looking at guest's and not really talking to people xxx

We had round tables (picture below). It worked really well, we seated ourselves in the corner so we got a full view of the room, but it was nice not to be on show!

We're not going traditional neither. We're having a round table with just me, H2b, our two kids, best man and maid of honour.

We did and we sat in the middle of the room so we could get up and speak to our guest in between courses

We're planning on having a sweetheart table, partly because we didn't want to force h2bs divorced parents to feel uncomfortable but mainly because with it being such a busy day will be nice for us to have time to catch up with each other x

We are having a round tables too. We are going to be at the very end of the room. So it's more informal. Our tables seat up to 10 people I think we'll have 7/8 at our table my mum, my brother, my sister in law, h2bs uncle, best women and maybe one other.

I thought about having round because my parents and inlaws don't like eating infront of people x

We are doing this, too and out friends have done it as well. Ours will be in the middle of a row of rounds tables by a stage area at the venue so it’s central, though my friend who got married last year had there’s just randomly in the room so it was super informal
