Partner and I are wanting to give whisky as favours and don’t really know where to source large quantities from and the cost that this would be, do any members have any experience of doing this? Thanks x

Haven't done this but if you know some who has a makro or bookers car, you can wholesale whisky so buy big bottles and decant it into smaller ones. May work out cheaper than buying miniatures

The average price is £5 for a decent whisky, might be cheaper to buy a big bottle & get smaller ones from ebay, or go with tradition & give to ladies only. Saves grief & £££'s

Check with your venue first as you may have to pay corkage!

I bought the little bottles on line and a big bottle of whisky from Makro and did them myself. Saved quite a bit of money doing it that way. I had labels printed by Vistaprint for the bottles and just stuck them on. No one noticed the difference.

We had our reception in a Scottish distillery and did miniatures!! It was cheaper to buy mini bottles on eBay & buy large bottles of the whiskey and decant them ourselves! Worked out so much cheaper & we decorated the bottles to match our theme and also used them as name places by putting ribbon and a tag on!
