I got married on the 25th of August and would like to repurpose my dress. I.e. donate it to a charity that makes gowns for children no longer with us. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks xxx

I tried doing this but every charity I contacted said they had a lot of wedding dresses so they were not accepting any for a while xx

I am doing this with mine and most have a waiting list of 6 months to a year or more so I've asked a local seamstress and she's agreed to do it for free because of what its for. Maybe you could ask around your local area if someone would be willing to do the same xx

There’s a charity in Exeter called La Boutique who take donated dresses and sell them - all profits go to helping terminally ill people get married. Here’s some more info https://laboutique.vpweb.co.uk/charity

There is a charity in Exeter called the wedding wishing well http://www.weddingwishingwell.org.uk/
They plan wedding and fund them of people who are terminally ill. They provide the dresses or sell them to pay for the weddings for the family x
