Am I allowed to be annoyed that my H2Bs best man's wife has not only said she's wearing a full length black lace dress to my wedding which not only is quite similar in style to my actual dress but also happens to be the dress she actually wore for her own wedding She knows colour scheme of my wedding and knows she's going to totally stand out even had cheek to say she's sure il look nice aswell I've told her I don't think it suitable and yea she can afford to buy a new dress but I just think she's still intending to wear it

That's a tough one - She's either trying to wind you up or being a bit of a cow (the world doesnt revolve around her). If you have tried speakimg to her, maybe your h2b could speak to the best man on your behalf to see if he vould shed some light on her intentions, hope it gets sorted x

Let her wear it... She'll only make herself look an idiot by trying to upstage you!

She’s being a cow, let her. She’ll look a moron and everyone will either laugh at her or be angry with her

Letting little minded people like ruin your day will only cause you upset. So let her wear it. She'll look like a tool wearing it not you

She wants to wear her wedding dress to someone else’s wedding? Let her carry on, she’s only making a show of herself

I agree with the people saying she'll look like an idiot and and will be laughing at her. If it's black then no-one will even realise it was her wedding dress unless she tells them, could you imagine if she turned up in a pure white princess dress?! I'd let her get on with it, no-one will care what she's wearing, they'll all be looking at you anyways!

Don’t worry about her - it’s your day and people will just roll their eyes and think it’s a strange choice for a wedding! Like everyone has said above they probably won’t even realise it was her wedding dress since it’s black. Everyone will be focused on you and your husband so you just enjoy your day! X

I went to a friend's wedding a few years ago and had some cow trying to upstage her there, honestly she looked like a try hard, noticed how people rolled their eyes at her, come the evening she changed into something a little more appropriate, but the damage was done. Barely anyone spoke to her, she left early and it was forgotten about. It was all in all a brilliant day don't let her get to you. xx

What an attention seeker. Distance yourself from her, make her think your not bothered. On the day you won’t notice her, you’ll be too busy being centre of attention with your new husband!!

Does it matter? If it was a full length white lace dress, then yeah maybe but I told people to wear just what they wanted even if it was white. Everyone knew it was my wedding and there was no chance anyone was gonna turn up in an actual wedding dress so I really didn’t care. Don’t let it bother you

Don’t forget you tell the photographer the main shots you want, let her have a photo of her n best man but don’t invite her into any of the others, or ask ur photographer to direct her to the back 😉

I am going to be brutal here so I am sorry in advance if you take this badly... just being up front:
You should not worry about this unless she is in your bridesmaid type of gown. Black is not bridal so she cannot be confused with you. If you worry about being upstaged and let it ruin your day then you will be upstaged. Simple fact is nobody actually gives a poo about her but they care about you so the attention is on you. Have some confidence that she wont even be able to upstage you. I get why its annoying you just make sure she isnt in the photos! :)

A colour scheme? Why not let people wear what they want, but I do think a long black dress is unusual. In photos she will stand out, but tbh will she really be in that many to worry about? On the day you won't care as you'll be too busy enjoying yourself. The day will pass in a flash that you won't care

I wouldn't waste my energy or mind space on someone who doesn't matter. Enjoy your day, divas are only important to themselves, the rest of us laugh at them. Think of it as free entertainment lol x

Honestly.... I know you won’t want to hear it but on the day you won’t give a shit about this at all! Let her wear what she likes! She won’t be the bride! 👰🏼
