Hi, we are having Christmas wedding... colourscheme being dark emerald green with gold. We would like to make our own centrepieces to try and save some money somewhere. Any ideas of what we can do? Thanks x

You could save bottles and cover them in glitter. I also attended a wedding once that had pineapples spray painted gold they looked fantastic.

Pine cones in bowls with some fairy Lights? Could add some gold painted pine cones and brighten it up by putting some red berries in there.

Or you could buy some Christmas candles and holly wreaths and pop the candle in the wreath on the table?

The Range has some great things for wedding table decorations and very reasonably priced too.

I’m getting married in a couple of weeks, and we’ve been saving mismatched jars and bottles for about a year, spray painted them gold, and we’re filling some with flowers and some with tea lights. Jars were free, spray paint came to a total of less than £25 and I bet near Christmas you could get some lovely green foliage quite cheaply!

What about poinsettia? Put some green leaves round it and spray the bowl/pot gold. Xxx

We've gone for faux eucalyptus wreaths from dunelm, you could then put candles in the middle or lanterns!

We are also getting married at Christmas with a similar colour scheme although ours includes red too. We are making our own center pieces as storm cases with a large candle in surrounded by a homemade wreath. I think that is all that is needed and we can use everything again
