I think we have decided to get married abroad in 2020 for one reason and another but don’t know where to start. We have been to a few travel agents they have said in order to book for 2020 we would have to wait till April next year. I would rather book this year if possible has anyone got any advice on who they have booked with or where to start? Thanks
May be cheaper to do it yourself ....
Book the flights now to your country of choice , disable the cookies to get the cheapest price otherwise whilst searching the price goes up & up ! Ensure you fly mon or tues as cheaper days to fly as everyone mainly chooses at the end of the week .......
Google wedding celebrants and check out their reviews ....
Gibraltar looks a beautiful location with lots of sunshine .....
It depends on what sort of day you want, we’re eloping & have booked everything ourselves, from accommodation, the actual spot to say our vows, our celebrant & legal documents. Alternatively look into a wedding planner, they will be able to guide you through the process
Depends on where you are looking I went to Cyprus and wouldnt recommend any travel agents again for wedding there are paphos brides to be etc (Facebook pages) with wedding planners on ask for reviews etc xx
I got married last Wednesday in Spain and it was the best thing we ever did. We had a wedding planning company that I had found just by Google, they provided contacts for all our suppliers on the day and were able to recommend venues only we had our own venue sorted. Really was the best day ever.
Sit down and think where you would like to get married then contact thru email and Facebook anything you find on the Internet, it really was easy and never does no harm to ask.
I’m getting married in Cyprus next August, booked in June 2017 through a wedding company in Cyprus, they have been superb so far. Booked the flights and hotel separately about 6 weeks ago. Doing it independent of a travel agent means that you are not forcing family friends etc to a certain budget x
We booked with Tui almost 2 years ahead Good luck x
We got married 2 weeks ago today in Cyprus. I would definitely see if you can book direct through the hotel. We tried thomas cook and had bother from the start. I found a wedding page on facebook linked to the hotel and managed to book through them saving a lot of money in the process. Was the most easy and stress free thing ever and our day was even more than we dreamed of xx
I’m booked up for May 2020 with perfect weddings abroad. Hired my own private island in Greece. If you want to chat just drop me a message xx
Airlines don’t usually release flights until 12 months before-you can book the rest of your wedding, but would need to book flights later
We are getting married in Kefalonia in 2020 and have booked through Ionian Weddings. You pay a deposit and then rest of the balance 4months before the wedding. I was sceptical of just googling places in case they were fraudulent so went with a company I know someone else had booked through. Good luck! X
Hi....I'm an independent Travel specialist, and UKBrides advertiser. The only thing you'll have to wait for are the flights, and even then, depending on where you're going it's often possible to book over a longer period. I even have some suppliers who will make a booking and be prepared to cover the cost of any increases in flight prices. As for the rest of the wedding, you'll be able to book now for almost all places. I'd be happy to help if you want. My service is free, you only pay for the package, same as any other travel agent, but with a personal service! Give me a message on my Facebook page, Steve Friend - Brilliant Travel or email [email protected] if you want more info.
