Hi, has anyone been married or getting married in Las Vegas? Where did you start with booking a wedding abroad and have you got any advice or contacts? (As much advice as possible would be great!). We got engaged there so means something to us, we are looking for a hotel wedding, possibly some sight seeing then a nice meal rather then one of the Las Vegas Chapels do you recommend going back before you book anything to speak and meet with people or is that a waste of time and money? Any advise will be kindly appreciated, thanks!!

http://forums.theknot.com/categories/local-wedding-boards_nevada-las-vegas. Try this forum, it’s specifically for Las Vegas brides. It can be a bit hit and miss in that posts can be sporadic, but I have found it really useful. Getting married myself in October @ the Aria. We just went directly with the hotel. I booked my photographer - joey Allen & booked Brianna Michelle beauty (she is on FB & Instagram). I have found it really easy. I just made deposits through PayPal and found most vendors were really responsive. I also found quite a few people came up with the same names in terms of make up and photography. Just an FYI, a lot of the hotels don’t allow outside photographers, or will charge a fee of around $300. Good luck and if you have any further questions then let me know.

I got married there in 2012. If your UK then you can apply on line for your licence and collect with I'd in person 24 hrs before they day. We used a chapel. Honestly after speaking to all the places they offered more for less. Limo to get licences (the office is down town) and back to our hotel (or anywhere on the strip we requested). They booked us a restaurant and got us a deal on that too. They did flowers limo to and throw on the day.
I'll post a link to the chapel I used I know u said hotel but They are so impersonal. The chapel gave me a wedding coordinator and a planner who I could web chat with me, They talked me through everything. Arrange my hair and make up, and included the photos. (All for £400 they upgraded me for free because the woman booking it for us was from the same town as we are from)
I spoke to tons of places so do email you back so with short answers the hotels didn't want to know unless your staying with them. I did step foot in America for the 1st time 7 days prior to the wedding and it was all smooth sailing

I got married in Las Vegas 2 weeks ago! We booked everything through the Chapel of The flowers and it was amazing! We had a reception (for 12) at Gordon Birsch in a private room with a set menu which was lovely! We also did a strip tour with the photographer.
Can’t recommend Chapel of The Flowers enough as they sorted everything while keeping in touch all the time!
