We are still looking at our music but I would suggest something light (so that people can still talk) and that is personal to you. I am from Ireland originally and we are planning on having Irish music for some of it. I look forward to seeing people's suggestions.

I did a Spotify 1 month free trial and I made a play list on there. Music was quiet in background x

Have your venue for a CD player with surround sound system? We’re gonna find our favourite songs in acoustic style so it’s light in the background and they’re gonna play it for us, saves us lots of money x

Apple Music has loads of good playlists that last for ages for weddings 😊

I've got a string quartet, they sound lovely in the back ground as people sit to eat and drink. If you don't want to spend that money though why not create a playlist and have it on in the background. You don't want anything too loud as you still want your guests to be able to hear each other across the table. Xxx

My venue had a system we could connect USBs and phones to, so we created a playlist of acoustic versions of our favourite songs and generic 'wedding breakfast' album songs. It was actually quite fun putting in odd or perhaps controversial songs in with only a select few guests recognising them :P

Ask your guests to request a song each then make a playlist on itunes and put it on shuffle that way everyone is accounted for

What type of music would you thinking of? Singers? Musicians? CD/ Spotify? Both me and my partner are musicals so went down musicians and singers. Depends of your preference, I can recommend a few musicians/singers if thats what you're going for? x

I can provide some background piano music (with vocals if required) during your wedding breakfast - drop me an enquiry with your date and I'll check my availability: https://www.lastminutemusicians.com/members/nicolaplayspiano.html

We asked all our guests to give us a couple of their favourite songs and compiled our own wedding breakfast music from that, it was played quietly enough so that people could still have conversations
