Hi!! I'm wanting so advice! Are people using a venue styling company for their big day? I'd considered doing some myself but already feel stressed at the thought of storing stuff and having to sell it on afterwards. If you are using someone what kinds of prices are people paying? Can anyone recommend someone in west yorkshire? Thanks x

Ros at Attention to Detail is brilliant. She is based in Huddersfield.

Jan Shillito she’s based in Leeds, she’s reasonable, charges flowers by the bucket and will do all the dressing you need

I'm using a company. 100 chair covers, 100 sashes and bows, swags and bows to decorate a bridge, vintage ladder for table setting, 10 centre pieces, starlit backdrop, top table flowers, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, flower girl basket and petals, 15 button hole flowers £770. Sorry can't help though with recommendation though as we are getting married in Warwickshire

We dressed the venue ourselves with chair bows, drapes and lighting, this was because we were quoted over £1000 to have it dressed by the stylist company and to be honest no-one noticed the difference! We were complimented on how well done it was! It cost us around £250 including balloons and helium and have managed to sell it all on afterwards for almost what we paid for it! Good luck x

Quoted £1500 for some flowers (mainly greenery!!) and some candles. Doing it myself instead, expect to pay at the most a third of that. And it will be how I want it, not just a surprise on the day! X

I'm using Wish Upon a Venue Dresser who are based in Leeds. I considered decorating myself but I think I'd find it too stressful! The chair covers/sashes are included in my venue price. But for centre pieces, table runners, top table and cake table swagging, twinkle backdrop, staircase dressing with topiary trees and a cream aisle carpet is about £650. They do have packages though.

I've bought everything and doing it myself for a fraction of the price I was quoted we live in our venue so I can take my time doing it x

I'm using creative events for the lights and drapes we wanted. They supply chair covers etc. As part of our venues package.

Im using recyclable materials so once im done I can recycle them.im using wodden logs which I can use on the log burner afterwards and jam jars, glad bottles or rin cans on the table centre pieces. That way it doesnt really cost me anything and its environmentally friendly.
