We have booked to go on our honeymoon to Mexico, my question is is it worth booking seats for the flight? And if so is it worth booking extra leg room? Or should we just wait until check in and hope that we get seated together? I've been looking at seats on Thomas cook website and it's crazy prices to book!

I went to Mexico last year and the flight was packed. I would always book the seat before you travel. It’s a special time and the last thing you want is to be seperated on a 9-10 hour flight! I would definitely urge you to book the seats and upgrade too as the seats are mega uncomfortable!

Definitely book! 10 hours not sat next to your new spouse, would be hell for me. And it's your honeymoon, if you're gonna splurge on a holiday then this one should definitely be it :)

I went to Mexico over the summer and we booked premium seats... well worth the extra money, comfy seats, definitely sat together and it was a much more comfortable flight xx

I think it's 30 quid to book your seats together we always book our seats together if not they will seat you anywhere not good for an 8 hr flight as for extra leg room depends how tall you are

Definitely pre-book. We’re going to Mexico too & I insisted on pre-booking as i’m a terrible flyer. Wouldn’t want to risk being seated with strangers for 10hours! Xx

we've pre booked and if you change your mind, which we did, we went online thomas cook and moved our seats as it looked as though we were sat next to the toilets and 10 hours of that was not what we wanted.
We did want to travel 1st class but it was an extra £1600 !!!!
i'm maybe hoping for free upgrade, although i know that wont happen x

Book every time if it’s a Dreamliner go premium it’s worth the money for a long flight wouldn’t do anything else now on long haul

I wouldn’t bother pre booking, they will allocate you seats when you check in, I have never had to sit separately! My only advice would be to arrive early to check in! Up to you though! Good luck x

Def worth it if you’re flying Thomas cook I went on holiday to Barbados once before with them and because I didn’t pay they purposely separated us. X
When we went on honeymoon we flew with Virgin and paid for seats together I think if it’s honeymoon you’re best just paying, not worth doing long haul sitting apart from each other x

It’s better to pre book your seat and it’s guaranteed you sit together, it’s extra money to pay but at least you both have a peace of mind . X

We went on honeymoon with Thomas cook and got to pick our seats for free, but it’s a long journey I wouldn’t want to risk not sitting together

I went with Thomas cook for my honeymoon. We paid to sit together because it’s a long time to risk them splitting you up. We didn’t bother with extra legroom and didn’t really need it.. there was plenty

Absolutely pre-book seats. My fiancé and I have been split up on TC flights before, not worth the risk for your honeymoon! TC specifically told us that anyone with kids/elderly passengers etc are given priority to sit together and they said couples like ourselves are more likely to be split up than anyone else.

We are going to America and are using Norwegian airline, we were able to book seats with extrs leg room at no extra cost. Definitely worth paying the extra though if you have to, especially with being sat next to each other. A honeymoon is definitely the time to pay more than you may normally if you're ever going to.

Well we have pre-booked seats together for our honeymoon to mexico im a terrible flyer so couldnt even start to imagine not sitting together.x

Wait until they call you we got our seats together for £50 each both way so only just us £100 in total. Way more expensive if you contact them to book the seats.

For such a long flight it’s definitely worth prebooking seats. 10 hours sat next to a stranger could be unpleasant. I would only book extra leg room if you or partner are tall, Thomas Cook long haul are spacious anyway. We upgrade to premium as it’s well worth the money especially for a honeymoon but it’s around £1000.

Went to Mexico with Thomas cook 2yrs ago & booked Premier seating, well worth it travelling out as we got exec lounge at Manchester included which gets you drinks & food Inc & the extra leg room & wider seats wer worth it & drinks & food inc on-board..On return same inc on the flight just minus the lounge at the airport in Mexico.. Cost about an extra £120 each way..

I’m terrified of landing so we always book
Seats. Now it’s our honeymoon we have booked extra legroom seats!! 😍 I’d hate to grab onto a stranger when we are landing 😂

We have been to Mexico the last 2 years and as a nervous flyer we went to book seats together but both times all the seats together were gone so we ended up across the aisle from each other. We booked in april/May for July holiday though so possibly was just too late to get seats together

I initially didn’t thinking no one else would but then closer to the time looked and practically every seat was booked so I had to pay to sit opposite and on a slightly different row to my new husband so I would def book! X

We flew Thomas Cook to Mexico in December and the flight was full I would 100% book seats together. Why would you not spend the extra money and risk sitting rows apart for 10 hours?!

We went to Cuba through Thomas cook so another long flight and we did book seats I think it is worth it as the flight is so long I wouldn't want to be that far from my fiance...

Just as a quick bit of advice ....
*saying you are on honeymoon will not get you upgraded, they hear it all the time.

*If you have a credit card which gives you air miles look to see if you can use them to upgrade ( this may not be a direct flight )

*Over 7 hrs book premium seats if you can.

*If you are flying abroad to get married you DO NOT get extra baggage allowance for your dress.

*Check your passport has enough left on it to comply with the countries regulations

*Passport & ticket MUST show the same name or you will be refused passage.

We are off to the states for our honeymoon and have booked seats on our flights there and back already. I want to start my honeymoon sat next to my husband not miles down the plane.

We have booked seats, upgrade for more leg room, executive lounge and a bottle of champagne for the flight. After all you only get married once. (Well, OK, 3 times but trying to get it right this time) 😁

Sophie Cottrell seen all these lovely comments. ‘Book seats together! I couldn’t sit away from my partner for 10 hours’ - just so you know I’m quite happy for us to have separate seats, a nice 10 hour break from your mile a minute talking before our honeymoon begins!!😂😂😂😂😂💖
