Hi - we want to get married in May 2019 but want a really quiet ceremony as we want to have a fab honeymoon. I don't want to marry in the local registry office but venues are so expensive. Has anyone any ideas in the North East of England Please? Thanks. x
Saltwell Towers , Saltwell Park Gateshead
Coquetvale at rothbury is good, they have packages made up or they can work with you to create one xxx
Hi websters ropery in Sunderland is amazing great venue good prices.
It depends on what you want specifically, but places such as As You Like It and Pleased to Meet You to full wedding packages now. I think you can get married in some of the museums in Newcastle too. There are all the hotels/standard venues too which sometimes have deals on-we got a cracking one. The South Causey Inn does a intimate wedding package. You can go really cheap and hire out a function room or community hall and do it up yourself too.
If you had a week day wedding it would be a lot cheaper
High House Farm Brewery at Matfen. You don't pay a venue hire just for the food etc. And you build your own wedding rather than having to choose from a package x
Why don't you want to do registry office?
How about a town hall? X
Actually I found cuddystone hall. Is near wooler (in the middle of nowhere) but it cost 900 for three days hire. Very small and very remote
Eshott hall has an afternoon tea package that's £1000
I'm only having a small wedding, ceremony in the local church and reception at a village pub.
Why not do like us..civil wedding late and just an evening do; not sit down meal etc we were quoted £8000 for full package but £4000 without sit down thing
I’m getting married at The Tempest Arms near Skipton, very reasonably priced and stunning.
We’re getting married at the county hotel in May 2019. £4500 was an exclusive package we were offered but this was in September 2017. Really excited!
Try googling wedding celebrant as they can come in as cheap as £200 ....
We didnt want anything big - so 20 of us went to Gretna Green for the weekend. They do packages or you can plan it all yourself, and there's lots of beautiful places up there
Look on groupon.. we had been looking at lots of venues and was getting quotes, my mom then found the most amazing venue and was over half price, the deal ended last July but they offered it to us at the same price for this April because we wanted a specific date which has fallen on a Thursday (weekdays make it a lot cheaper) xx
High house farm brewery- Matfen (just outside newcastle) free to use venue as long as you use their catering (which is delicious and reasonably priced)
I am getting married at the Crowne plaza and they have charged £200 for the ceremony
Im from the north east too, our church is pretty reasonably priced, then we are just going back to a local pub for food and drinks as we didnt want a big wedding x
Blackfriars in Newcastle, it’s beautiful
We're getting married at the George hotel piercebridge. They have some fab packages x
