How long would you take to plan a wedding? 2 years?
We're getting married a year to the day he proposed. All done and could happily be married anytime now so 6 months without too much stress (worst thing was cutting back the guest list to 70)
Done ours in less than 12 months, just gotta pay for it all now...
We are getting married in November 2019. We just booked the venue in October. So 2 years to plan and pay xx
We are in the middle of our house being built, so will sort that within the next year then plan for 2020!!
We’ve had 2 years to plan ours but I’m very organised and I’m getting impatient now. Finalising can’t be done until next year but I’m definitely ready😂 so I’d say about a year?xx
Started planning mine in November and I'm greying married in june so 8 months in total
We started planning our January this year and we are getting married may 2019 x
We done it in 10 months after being engaged for 4 years getting married this April xxx
9 months x
We got engaged January this year an getting married 2020, could easily do it earlier if we had the money x
3months.
6 months x
Ours was booked 26 months in advance. We get married this year. Xx
We got engaged September 2017 and wedding was booked October 2017.We are getting married October this year!
We get married in 2020 so just over 2 years to plan and pay for it. We need that much time though as we are moving and renovating our house too x
We gave ourselves a year not long enough
7 months only because it was the date we wanted x
I started planning mine in august 2017 but didnt actually book anything until january and i get married in august so not even a year
We booked ours April last year get married in May so 13 months x
We started in October and marry in May this year. You can do it in any time frame taking into consideration your givig notice period x
We've had 11 months. Been more than manageable.
6 months for us. All sorted now (6weeks later) just need to pay for everything
I have done my whole wedding in 4 months I'm getting married the end of next month xxx
We got engaged in January this year and get married in July this year! Just got to pay for it all now x
Planned mine in 10 weeks x
Was meant to be two years and Abit, got engaged June 17, we were originally getting married 04 Jan 2020, now may 31st 19, I am very indecisive
Got engaged in Nov picked and played for the venue in December getting married in nov x
We are planning ours in less than a yr
16 weeks!
To actually plan I don’t think you need any more than 6 months. But to pay for a wedding id recommend 2 years lol xx
We got engaged in last May and getting married in June and had all the big things done by October and everything else done now just waiting on rsvps to finish the little things and as we had lots of time it's been stress free 😊
Depends on what kind of wedding you want. My friend had a cancellation at the venue they wanted, a beautiful hall, and organised theirs in 8 weeks! Including having a wedding dress made to measure, so it can be done!
It takes as long or as short a time as you want...I took 12 months from booking the venue but I know a girl who did it in 2 months due to her husbands relocation in the RAF
As quick as possible, a few months. Don’t drag it out.
We booked in Dec, planned from mid Jan and got married 15 Aug. Short time makes you decide instead of ponder.
Till I can afford it... So another 20 odd years!
Depends on SO much.
If you have set ideas in terms of date venue suppliers etc you might need to plan further in advance especially if you want a summer wedding.
The type of wedding has an impact; if you want something more DIY and detailed you'll want longer to do that and the more ppl you have the more there is to do.
It also depends what else is going on in your lives; how much time and money you can commit now.
We've been engaged just over a year and marry in July. 18 mints has meant I can have big gaps in planning when work is crazy (which I need because my job is very demanding). It's a big wedding with international guests and even so I could easily have done it in 9 months if I'd just buckled down and not procrastinated but I'm glad we took longer for a less stressful build up. Although I kind of wish we agreed on a spring wedding; I'm bored of waiting already 🤣
The longer you have the more you’ll spend and the bigger it will get, trust me and we planned ours in a year, that was plenty of time. Was the best day ever though and we don’t regret going big Good Luck and enjoy x
10 months!!
I'm getting married in Cyprus in 2020 so doing all the planning now.
We had nearly 7 months.... We decided on a date in Sept 2016 and Married in March 2017 X
We got engaged new years day (2018) and booked our venue for 19/7/19 all the big things booked and paid for, we could have done it a lot sooner but I've always wanted to get married in July and I didn't think 7 months would've been long enough to plan but it turns out I could've had it all done by this July! It's now just a waiting game to marry the man of my dreams x
Planned mine a year before.. whilst doing a massive house renovation. I learnt not to overthink things and you know what everything turned out perfect
Completely depends on you the time it takes. My wedding was planned in 2 months and got married 2 months after
Iv had 11 months getting married november im on my 2nd month and almost planned and all is booked next part is the buyin..
I'm June 19. Started doing main bits sorted in my head . Plan to get bits January sale then hopefully a calm few months before the wedding.
But depends how much time you have I have 2 under 3s
I did ours in 7 months and we didn't skimp on it either.
Two months! We went to Portugal last August to visit friends and had a look at some houses. Fell in love with one and decided there and then to escape Brexit and not just buy a holiday home, but a permanent one. We'd already been engaged three years and when we got back to Letchworth, in September, we started sending out invitations for our wedding in November! My hubby drove me and the cats from Letchworth to Central Portugal, x6 weeks ago and we're having a ball!
We did 2 years
14 months x
4 weeks
Started talking about ours in October last year but not started to set things on stone yet and getting married July next year on my 23rd birthday
Ours was 9 months, book just before Christmas and got married August, it was perfect x
Has less than 12 weeks notice from booking to the day! Everything booked n sorted after two weeks! Was twiddling my thumbs waiting then!
Got engaged in November getting married 21.4.18 and all organised xx
it took me 8weeks to plan and pay for it
We’re doing ours in 6months!
96 days! 'normal' hotel wedding x
We took two years
I think if you need to save money that’s the main thing that might take longer. We have planned it within just over a year (from researching and visiting venues to the day). I think this is enough time, but if you want a certain venue/date/vendor and they are booked up then you may struggle with that timeframe. We were flexible on dates and with who we have hired and have made a few compromises (ie couldn’t afford everything we initially talked about!) We have been lucky with money from family but would have needed longer if we had had to save up more! So definitely factor that in.
We got engaged NYE and get married October so 8 months. We’ve booked everything already lol
Started planning in Jan, getting married in October
It really depends on waiting lists especially for popular venues.
Always good to start looking early.
Other things like dress and flowers you can take your time and look closer to the wedding date.
The planning but is the easy and enjoyable bit but paying for it is what we used 18 months for, best day ever! Also wedding stuff books up in advance especially if you are having a weekend wedding so sometimes you need the extra time x
I planned ours in 7 months.
Planned and got married in under 3 months very stressful but worth it
Getting married march 2019 engagement party this sat x venue booked next week, registrar 23rd march for ceremony. Excited going to wedding fairs. Best man etc confirmed x got 4000 so far good luck all x
Took me 5 months 😁
Started planning last year, Getting Married June 22nd 2019 😁
We did everything in 2 days .
About 4-6 months I think mines took in total
WE're getting married this weekend - just over a year since he proposed
Lynne Roberts 3 weeks?
We planned ours in 5 months
Booked venue in October and getting married in May xx
My wedding is 2 1/2 years after we got engaged, but apart from booking the venue we aren't going to plan anything else until a year beforehand.
We are getting married August 2018. Proposed June 2017. Only really started planning in August 2017. So I think a year is enough x
engaged in january 2016 and decided in january 2017 that we could afford to get married in july 2017 so planned everything in 6 months all whilst studying, working and training for a marathon! just depends if you know what you want and if you have the money!
I think if you’re organised and have the money ready, then 9-12 months. We started officially planning a year ago and everything is pretty much done. Not getting married til August so now just feeling impatient 😂😂
We got engaged and 5 months later we were married! Xxx
I had two years to plan ours worked out well as we paid for everything so I had time to shop around and make sure I really had what I wanted! X
He proposed 28th April 17 and getting married 27th April 18
We planned in a year - plenty of time. I agree that any longer and it gets out of hand and too expensive.
4 months. We get married a week saturday 😍
18 weeks! There was no time to faf about & it was fabulous
People still talk about it 3 years later x
6 months for us
I think it really depends on your money situation we are taking the two years to plan and pay it off as my and my fiancé are having to pay it all ourselves x
We've left it to just shy of two years so that we could save enough money to have everything we wanted. I'm planning pretty much all of the wedding about 18months before hand just so that we can enjoy the build up to the wedding.
I started 2 years in advance...thankful I have can take things slowly!
Due to a complete lack of funds I've been planning my wedding for 7 years and counting at least when we can afford to get married I'll have a clear idea of what I want x
We started planing ours may last year it should of been this August but due to our unexpected pregnancy we've pushed back a year but everything is near enough done just little things like suites and bridesmaids dresses left x
Our wedding is 2020, have the venue booked already and other things sorted too. 🙂
364 days.. if you’re clear on what you want you can do it easily
