Hi everyone and congrats to you all! All bridal mags and gauges suggest budgets that are stupidly high! Have you fixed a budget yet and what is it?
Hi mines is £7,000 We hope we can stick to it :)
Aiming for £5000 myself with at least 50 guests on the list. 30 more if we can them into the budget!
I got married in November 2017 and my wedding cost £2500 and it was perfect x
Ive got a £3.000 hope i can stick to it x
Hi. We've got £6000 to spend but hoping to keep it to £5000 so can have a family holiday after rather than a honeymoon x
Around £10000 with everything including outfits and gifts
I've done everything except honeymoon on £3500. Easy peasy x
No more than 7k and for 2019 really we would like it to be less - that’s the absolute max!
Our budget was £15k and we spent double that lol
Mine is £1.500
Ours was £10.000 it we’ve slightly gone over budget but it’s worth it x
£4000 Inc honeymoon
Price things up before you set a budget is best. Try and include all the things you need to do before the wedding in your budget like hair cuts, nails, eyebrows ect that all adds up. I've gone basic on everything and spent £6000 that's without the venue x
We spent £11000 including a week in Devon as a minimoon. X
10k including honeymoon.x
I have a budget of £20000 as I plan on doing this only once... So I'm going all out🙈🙈 💒💍👰
We didnt have a budget per say.... but we did try to go for the bargains... it ended up being about £12-13000 but we paid things off little and ofteb so didnt feel like it was near that much x
£4000 without honeymoon it's easy to stick to xx
Those with a budget anywhere under £10k & saying it's easy to stick please can u comment what venue you are using? I havn't found any venues I'm remotely interested in under this price point

Have to say, my budget plans went out of the window after about 2 months. I've found most of my money has gone on the little things (I'm making my own bouquets, table centrepieces, invites, favours etc of which you can buy all cheaper and easier) and I ended up buying the tablecloths and chair covers/sashes too as at least I'll be able to sell them after and get 50% on those back. I think if you outsource a lot, you can negotiate and don't have the worry and extra spend-out by doing it all yourself. I am however lucky enough to have my venue for the whole weekend, and it allows me the 250 guests I wanted. I think prioritise what is important to you and your H2B and work from that then set your budget. I originally wanted to do the wedding under £5k, it's ending up closer to £20k.
We had some silly quotes really ridiculous quotes the ones so high you don't menace you burst out laughing . And no matter how much I like something if they take the mick then I won't entertain . As my dad says something's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it .
£6000 is out budget. We’ve found a venue that does an “all in one package” which is costing £2600. This includes three course wedding breakfast buffet in the night room hire dj and table clothes plus drinks on arrival, with meal and for toast.
Our initial budget was around £10,000 - £15,000 but we have managed to get that down to around £9,000. These bridal magazine are all a huge marketing ploy to get you to spend loads of money. .
our budget is 22000 so far doing really well with that budget x
Ours is £10000 and we're getting married in June and are currently £1000 under budget x
About 9-10k for us
Including honeymoon approx 13000
£5k and we are pretty on budget atm.
We had £4000 but our venue is being paid for by the grooms parents and my parents are chipping in with stuff like my dress. We’re doing quite well with what we’re paying for. Managed to come under budget on stuff. It’s about £7500 in total. Xx
Ours is about 12,000 but, trying to keep it down so we have more money for honeymoon
Ours is coming in at around £12k, but we’re not holding back. If we want something, we’re having it. We were aiming for £10k but our venue was over half of that, so we accepted that if we wanted the wedding we envisioned, we’d have to go a bit over.
Wedding is about 10k and we've budget a big over that to include any last minute expenses and our honeymoon. So about £15k is our absolutely top. That's including gifts, and outfits
Ours is £25k but thats just our own budget, family contributions will take that higher. You only do it once, I’d rather wait than skrimp on my big day.
We managed everything (absolutely everything, dress, suits, meal, ceremony, party) on £9600
I got married 2nd September 2017 & we managed to come in at £7 thousand .....
No need to start married life with debt if you can avoid ...
Warm wishes ...
We ended up at about 4.5K but about 2K of that was our honeymoon
20k hopefully
We got married in 1965 our wedding cost £300. My dad paid the deposit on our first house £100. Oh happy days. Feel sorry today how much you have to pay.
Ours is 8500 that's with 60 daytime guests having a 3 course meal, evening buffet for 120. I've paid for bridesmaid dresses, bags jewellery and hair/ makeup, grooms men's suits. Got a gorgeous dress. Most things I've wanted I'm having. I'm just good at finding bargains and I've quite creative so I'm making some things and growing my own flowers. We didn't want to pay much more because we want to move house as well.
I didn’t have a budget as I’m lucky my parents have paid for most of it but have tried to keep it under 10k
Our venue food comes up to 8k already . We are trying to keep it below 10K but I think it will be more like 12-15K for summer wedding '19.
7000 and that’s for 50 day guests and an additional 30 for the evening. That’s venue, registra, food photographer flowers car dresses suits (bridesmaids groomsmen) favours Dj rings and decorations and all gifts for wedding party.
Don't want to put my budget on here but it's at the low-ish end. I've already got lots of things for less money than I budgeted for them so I can't see that we will go over.
I only spent £3000 I cut costs in place that I can to bring it down more than happy to pass on any advice on how
25,000
2500
I was hoping to stay under £22000 but I grossly underestimated how much all the little bits add on & how high the cost of everything is in Aberdeenshire. We keep saying that we should have eloped! But with 2 weeks to go it's going to be an awesome day :-)
£11k, we’re renting a venue for two nights though x
10-12k in dominican republic x
Our budget is 3,000. The biggest portion of that (_950) is going on the photographer
Ours is £20,000 excluding honeymoon. £15,000 is venue, catering and registrar fees. We have 200 guests. My ideal would have been 20 guests for under £3000 but it's not just my day. H2B has a huge family and wants them all there.
